I went to your store today to purchase a Birthday Cake for a friend once I decided on the cake I wanted I asked the lady working in that department if I could please have something written on the cake the lady replied sure what would you like so I told her and then walked away to get balloons it took about 10 to 15 minutes on both ends the balloons and the cake. Once I received the cake I looked at the writing on the cake it looked as though a small child had written on the cake the lady apologized and said I'm not a cake decorator but I tried I told her thank you and walked away as I didn't want to hurt her feelings and I appreciated her efforts (there should always be someone there or they should explain to their employees the proper thing to do in that situation) as I was walking to the register to pay I seen a manager. Gilbert and explained to him that I was upset and showed him the cake he said he was going to talk to her about it. Then I get to the self checkout to pay and the weight of the cake was beginning to get heavy as it was a full sheet cake so I seen a basket at the end of the self checkout by the window so I decided to get it so that I could put the cake on it since it was heavy so I did so and as I was walking back with the cake on the basket the lady working self checkout approaches me and asked very rudely are you going to pay for that cake I replied I just went to get this basket because the cake is heavy she then said you can pay here I then told her I'm not going to take something I have not paid for she proceeded to watch me check out and also she scaned the cake I was purchasing. What she did to me was very degrating and everyone just stared at me as if I was trying to steal the cake I am a 44 year old woman who works very hard and has never stolen anything in my Life ..but yet that lady humiliated me in front of everyone as though I had. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE...IS THIS WHAT KROGER'S TEACHES THEIR EMPLOYEES TO PRE JUDGE THEIR CUSTOMERS OR MAKE ASSUMPTIONS THAT LEAVE THEM HUMILIATED..I have shopped at Kroger's for years and after what I went thru today I will NOT be back. I hope upper management sees the seriousness of this situation and takes care of it so that no one else has to feel as though I did. I tried posting this on their website under customer comments but it did not allow me to do so. Hopefully they...
Read moreDo not particularly go to the Customer Service (CS) Desk during the late morning and early afternoon hours, during the weekdays. The employee they have working the CS Desk during this time is not a good fit for CS in it of itself. This CS employee is a middle-aged woman with a short and curly perm of light-brown hair. She wears glasses and claims to also wear a hearing aid (I did not see one). This CS employee is not a good fit for CS because she is unprofessional and exhibits a terrible etiquette towards both her colleagues and customers. For lunch today, I went to buy stamps today. The self check-out employee kindly asked the CS employee she needed stamps for me. This CS employee lost it; all her poise went out the window (so to speak). This CS employee became very frustrated and upset with us. She yelled at her colleague that we would both need to wait for stamps, as she had one customer that first needed to be attended to. I intervened and advised her the stamps were already bought and paid for, and we were simply short a few more books owed to me. The CS employee reverted back to a loud and condescending voice as she advised that it did not matter, and we both still needed to wait. At this point, the self check-out employee shook her head and left the CS desk, to avoid any further conflict with this CS Desk employee. As a Kroger shopper for over 15yrs, I have NEVER witnessed a CS Desk employee at Krogerâs display this type of behavior. She is a bitter, angry, and short-tempered individual who lacks the necessary skillsets to interact with customers and concerned shoppers. I am shocked with the Kroger leadership at this store, for exercising the judgement in thinking this employee excels to the point of being appointed to the CS Desk itself. This shows a lack in good leadership and judge of character with this store. I will no longer shop at this particular Kroger store. âŚwhich is unfortunate. Youâve been warned fellow shoppersâŚ..donât go to this...
Read moreKroger is becoming a pain to shop even though I try to stick so far to support it being there for soo long in the neighborhood. Common groceries like simply organic milk etc are not restocked most of the times, digital coupons are usually very sneaking to not work most of the times and once the customer checks the over price on the bill it becomes such a pain to figure out the way to get the advertised big yellow sticker price only after jumping some hoops wasting more time, and most annoying is not enough manned counters to help customers as Kroger trying to save some bucks and only make customers work and waste more time to scan and even help is need have one usually unhappy attendant that shows up. Over all Kroger right now doing everything to upset its customers and not sure how long it would last with this unfriendly attitude especially with soo much new competition coming up everyday. I tried to share this as constructive feedback and asked for McDermott, Allen Kroger manager who was not even available and felt more helpless. Today is probably the last over the edge frustration I felt to keep me away from Kroger going forward. Hope Kroger can take this feedback seriously if they want to stay in business for a...
