Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Allendale Charter Township

I'm a long time resident of Allendale and have given this place my business probably close to 100 times. Not that it matters. This is an example of bottom-of-the-barrel customer service and should not be happening to anyone. Corporate needs to retrain certain aspects of this franchise.

Anyway... I stopped into this location recently, and ordered a #9 with extra hot peppers. They made the sandwich and handed me it plus the slip as per usual. I get home and start eating and there are no hot peppers to be found. No big deal, people make mistakes. However, the slip has the right information on it.

I call, and simply state the situation. The employee says that they can remake the sandwich if I bring it back. I say that I'd like them to deliver it, and it's perfectly fine if they throw it in with a later delivery, and I'll be sure to tip the driver. The employee tells me Jimmy John's can't do this. The sandwich place that widely advertises that they deliver just one sandwich, can't throw another sandwich in with an existing delivery in a tiny delivery radius to make things right for someone whose order they screwed up. Last thing said to me by the employee I spoke to was "I don't know what to tell you".

It's a shame because I've always thought the employees over the years at this place have a good attitude, and good customer service seems to be valued. Well greetings and smiles are fine, but in a situation like this, do right by your customer.

I like the food and all, but I don't think I'll be going back here.

Normally my unwiches are rather lackluster, but I love all that extra goodness! 😋

It was a little challenging to eat and at times, I had to chomp the top off in order to get a bite from the open end. Maybe a little extra oregano-basil underneath? 🤔

I just wish you guys had some more nutritious lettuce (I.e. Kale) I don't eat much iceberg. I eat all the darker green leafy vegetables. Maybe you could find a larger leaf option for your lettuce wraps, for people like me? 🤔

I'm in a wheelchair, so I TOTALLY appreciate the curb-side carryout by the way! Saves me the hastle of getting out of my vehicle and getting in/out of...

I am throughly disappointed with the service I just received. After working in the food industry for 5 plus years, even I know not to disrespect my customers like this. I ordered my sandwich, chips and drink, I am usually a very patient person- however it still took 25 minutes in total for my sandwich and stuff to arrive when the store is 5 minutes up the road from my location- I called to see where my order was at, clearly not upset yet, just wanting to know where my food was... when the food arrived, the driver barley said anything to me and did not mention an apology for being a little later than usual.. instead he left the 6 cents that was apart of my bill, and proceeded to slam it down on one of my company’s displays... this was extremely disrespectful, I will not be returning to...
