this was one of the worst food experiences I've had so far. there were so many issues, i just stopped complaining to the server because i felt bad 1st we placed app order. we ordered chips and cheese/ nachos and drinks. about 7 minutes later the server returned with salsa, and took our meal orders including soups. not to long after that our soup came out, but the app was yet to appear. i ordered french onion, expecting the classic onions in broth topped with some sort of bread and cheese. instead i just got onion broth. i asked the server where the toppings were and she explained they did not included that on their soup and offered me another one. i ordered the sweet pepper crab- this was basically cheese soup with imitation crab meat and a few pieces of pepper. our app did not arrive until after my 1st soup was replaced and i finished my 2nd soup. the app consisted of tortilla chips, melted shredded cheese and a lot of grease my meal itself was terrible, i left most of it on the plate. i ordered the blackened cod sandwich special with sweet potato fries. the fish i received was not blackened- more microwaved and tiny, i pulled it apart to try to cover the width of the bun, but it wasn't enough meat. i also received the wrong fries. she replaced them, but the sweet potatoes fries were clearly bagged frozen fries (crinkle) and were also burnt. i have never left so much food and left a restaurant...
Read moreI have solely done to go orders at Main St.Pub, I have also pretty much only consistently purchased their Hand Breaded Tender Platter as they have some of the best chicken tenders I’ve ever had. I have probably done around 20-30 to go orders.
Today, I was told by the wonderful waitress (they’re all absolutely wonderful) that the owner has decided that I can no longer get 3 sauces as I have been, and decided to get stingy over a .29c cup of buffalo sauce. After constantly receiving extremely inconsistent positions (pictures attached), and then being hit with such a penny pinching request that I don’t order sauces the way the website allows me to, this was the final nail in the coffin and I probably won’t go back because I wouldn’t want to put Main St. Pub out of business over a cup of buffalo sauce.
If the issue is with your website, then fix it, and don’t act like I’m the issue and deny me what I’ve ordered. If a .29c cup of sauce is a big deal, I will also act like it is in my review.
I won’t be going back, but for gods sake figure out your portion sizes where more than half the time I’m getting small, wimpy, more breading than chicken pieces, and other times normal slices of chicken, which I’m assuming is another stingy step from the owner. If I’m paying $15 for some chicken tenders, make it good, or raise the price and make it consistently properly portioned out...
Read moreBefore reading this know, i have previously enjoyed main st, and have also worked in restaurants before, so i make a lot of allowance and reasoning for why servers and wait staff do what they do.
Its gone down hill. The food quality has always been subpar if you arent getting something deep fried or a sandwich/wrap. The service was awful. The hostess took almost 10 minutes to seat us -- in a near empty restaurant. Our server had less energy than the food. He asked specific questions on how we wanted things, then ignored the instructions he specifically asked for. Example: we asked for an unsweet iced tea. He came back with a raspberry iced tea. When we asked about it "oh, i apologize. I just grabbed you a tea. We dont have unsweetened." Then proceeds to get us an unsweetened tea. He asked when we would like the soup: before entrees or with entrees. We say with entrees. He comes back not 5 mins later with the soups and the excuse is "i apologize i didnt tell them with the entrees." That was how the entire meal was. We watched two guys get seated and wait over 15 mins just for a glass of water. In a near empty restaurant.
The food has been dreadful for years, if it isnt deep fried or a sandwich/wrap. Unseasoned mush and soup thats just canned tomato soup and powder grated...
