Peppino's Pizza Express — Restaurant in Allendale Charter Township

We’ve ordered from this location easily 20 times and absolutely love the food. We’ve dealt with pickup instead of delivery to get punches on their little punch card that adds up to a free pizza. We have always ordered the 1 footer pizza and breadsticks totaling out to about $23 each time. You need 10 punches in order to get this free pizza, which is a standard one topping pizza. So to get this free pizza, we’ve easily spent $230 with this location. We, like most people, don’t want just a one topping pizza, so we asked to pay for additional toppings. We were told by two employees, one being a manager, that the computer won’t allow it. I asked if they could ring it up as something else as to make sure they got their deserved money for the additional toppings. Again, can’t do it. This is ludicrous.

This free piddly pizza we earned over the last year by being loyal customers will be the last order we make with Peppinos.

Shame on the company as a whole for putting your employees in the position to have to deny a request for...

There are many pizza options in Allendale but Peppino's Pizza (the express location, not the actual bar/restaurant) is by far the best out of them all! There has never been a time where we were disappointed with our pizza - they are always consistent with the quality unlike most of the other pizza places in town. The employees are also always very friendly even during their peak times. The cheesy bread stix with sauce is a must with your pizza! These are some of the cheesiest and most delicious breadsticks I have ever had! The sauce is also the best - we always order an extra.

The inside was recently remodeled and it looks so much better than it used to! There is some seating inside but most people end up ordering take-out. During peak times (Friday and Saturday nights), the wait times can be pretty long, especially during the GVSU school year. Delivery was fast, came hot, and packaged securely. 10/10 Food appearance is well above par. 10/10 Great sauces and tang in the pulled pork sandwich. Ample amount of tender meat with just the correct amount of juicy fat. Smelled amazing, and the pickle in it helped get rid of the 'heavy' feeling similar sandwiches might have. 10/10 The sweet potato fries on the side came hot, and tasty.. but had started to become steamed and lose the crunch while in the delivery container. Will keep ordering for delivery on the taste alone though. 8/10 The dry rub boneless wings had a great smell, amazingly crispy crunch, and not at all oily on the mouth feel or taste. The plain no sauce ones are almost dry, and I was glad I got some ranch with it, with some hot sauce in the fridge to complement. 9/10 Time: fast. 20 minutes before their quoted time. 10/10.
