Purchased a small loaf of Italian country bread and a two pack of cinnamon rolls at the Holland Farmers Market today (each $8!) Figured I’d splurge and enjoy some really good bread and pastry while supporting a local business. We tasted them as soon as I got home 30 minutes later and they tasted stale and dry and tasteless. Maybe I should have taken a cue from the lady there representing the company …dry with no personality (flavor)!! Not to mention crazy expensive! Total waste of money and very disappointing! Update: It saddens me to have to write such a scathing review, but it was just that bad. I had to lower to one star. After trying the bread the morning I bought it, I had put the plastic wrapped loaf in a second ziplock. I figured since there was no way to eat this bread “fresh” I could at least use the bread for toast since it was already so dry. Made BLTs and it literally ruined it! The toast was just hard—you’d think it had sat out all night unwrapped! The cinnamon rolls were like a stale dinner roll with frosting on top. I had to throw everything away!! I seriously can’t figure out how this place is...
Read moreI was at a local fair (Arts, Crafts, Food sellers etc.) We stopped by their booth for my wife, she told the person behind the bread table that I couldn't eat any bread because I was on Keto, they told us both that they had a few Keto friendly breads to offer, which still being new to Keto, caught my attention, so we wound up purchasing their Keto friendly breads, big mistake!!! Definetaly false advertising, even if it's verbal and not written, because most of the time we trust what that person is telling us, especially when they are the representative of a company, after looking it up online when we got home (no phone on us at the time) we quickly found out that it was all blatantly untrue and that every one that was taughted as Keto friendly was full of unfriendly Keto carbohydrates. I will never trust again, any company whose representative outright lies to the customer just to invite a sale, extremely bad business practices, beware what they tell you or better yet, discover a truthful company and then stick with...
Read moreI purchased quite a few items from the crown point farmers market/Shipshewana On the Road. I got the strawberry and cheese strudel, 2 packs of the garlic knots, cinnamon rolls, and a cherry Bavarian cake. I have to say I am so disappointed—I tried everything as soon as I got home (same day) and everything sucked. The garlic knots smelled amazing but were SO dry and flavorless. The strudels were very limp and had a weird flavor and barely any filling. The cinnamon roll dough was hard and dry. The flavor was there but the dough sucked. The cherry Bavarian cake tasted like just pure sugar and I expected it to have cherries and Bavarian all throughout and not just the top? I love sweets —buttercream is my fave— but this just didn’t have any flavor to help the sweetness. $44.50...
