Elias Fish Market — Restaurant in Allentown

This morning I called Elias and asked for the price and the size of the live Blue Crabs, I was told they were medium at 30/dz. They go into the back to get the crabs, which is fine because I check before I leave anyway, they look good on top , it’s not like you can see all of them. I get home and the 3 crabs on top were what I would consider medium but the rest of the crabs are so small! So I call to let them know I’m not happy about that and the lady first tell me that she told me that so many died and this is all they had left. WRONG! I called early in the morning and came maybe 30 minutes later and a man was the only person there. I never spoke to her or did business with her, I talked to a man on the phone and when I came in, I did the business transaction with the man. This just goes to show that others have complained TODAY. Then she tell me that it’s not her fault if they are dead, I never said anything about dead crabs. They were very much alive. Most of them are missing so many legs as well. And get this, next she says “oh this is not the season for them so that is why they are small” and that can be true but when I take the time to call and you tell me one thing, I get there and you show me that but when I get home, it’s all smoke and mirrors for 30/dz.. Wish i could give 0-star. Unbelieveably rude and disrespectful attitude 🤦‍♂️. I have no idea why I keep giving a business to this awful man that anyway don't appreciate my money. One day I come he's grumpy, yelling at me. Another day I come, he gives me an attitude that I bother him. I simply hate to deal with this mean and miserable old grumpy man. Today, I waited 10 minutes to buy fish while he don't bother to get his eyes from the computer game he played on his laptop. I was alone in the shop, no other customer waited with me. I asked him several times to give me several Tilapias, but he didn't respond, nothing. No "ok", no "hello", no nothing, so I commented: "Sir, I hate dealing with you, you're just an awful man, and I left without buying". From now on, I would never go in this place unless his wife which he treats like a servant will be there. Once, I find another live fish market in the area, I will never step my foot in this awful man business. Just reading all the 1-star reviews about him and the way he treats customers makes me feel sick to my stomach. This man should be in a bankruptcy....

If I could give this place zero stars and still review it I would . Let me start off by saying how disgusting the owners are the male and female. They sold me old products that smelled horrible , then refused to give a refund or exchange for something else. Immediately turned into defense mode and started arguing with me stating they would not change anything and there isn’t anything they would do. I’ve been to this establishment for the first time and to think that they would actually know how to treat customers I was wrong. Many people have also complained about this place , I wanted to give them a try myself and everyone was correct.

Avoid coming here to spend your hard earned money at the end of the day they don’t care if anything is old they’ll still sell it to you without any...
