New China — Restaurant in Alliance

Live in rural portage county and have not been happy with the limited options we have for Chinese. Decided to make the twenty minute drive for something new... after reading the reviews. Definitely did not disappoint! Ordered carry out. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly young man. Wish I got his name he was nice. We chatted a moment and he got us all packed up. It looks like they used to offer dine in but carry out only now. We ordered a crab Rangoon as a starter, beef lo mein, and general TSO combo with fried rice. I have to say hands down best damn wontons we've tried in a long time. They were shaped like little roses and it made for a perfect bite everytime. No big crunchy ends just perfect! The lo mein noodles had great flavor and texture. The steak in the noodles was tender and not chewy at all. I enjoyed the lo mein more but my boyfriend loved the chicken. Big meaty bites of chicken with a yummy sauce and some fresh steamed broccoli and carrots. It came with chicken fried rice and an egg roll. Overall great first experience and we will be back. I wish I could have the wontons everyday 😍 keep up the good...

It's just not the same restaurant that came from Hester. Flavor has changed since they first moved.. The flavor is different than previous dishes I've had .. I still recommend them full heartedly but walking in to there just seems depressing from years before.. You definitely do not get that warm comfortable feeling walking into New China like yrs prior or decades before . Empty spaces looks more like a store room and customer service not so friendly or pleasant thats been everytime I've been there to say the least but food is good and fast so I'll continue to go there. . I heard new owners yrs ago that could be reason for flavor change and Covid might be reason why restaurant part...

Will not go back! TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE! Girl who took order on phone was LESS then skilled at customer service, whispered into the phone, and was unwilling to make a substitution from the rice,which I cannot have, to a simple small egg roll. She made me upgrade from just a small order to a combo, costing me more and wasting food. The food itself, was expensive, and TASTELESS!!! I ASKED FOR SPICY, AND GOT 3 CHILI PEPPER SEEDS ON TOP. FLAT. AWFUL FRIED RICE--NO PEAS OR CARROTS,LOOKED AND TASTED LIKE ONE OF THOSE BAGS OF RICE FROM WALMART YOU MAKE ON YOUR STOVE. AWFUL CHINESE FOOD! IN THESE TIMES OF TRYING TO HELP MA AND PA STORES, I WILL TAKE MY MONEY ELSEWHERE! WILL NOT GO BACK...
