We were invited to join another couple here for dinner. I was kind of excited as I had never been here before, and I enjoy German food. When I got the menu, it was disappointing as there were only 3 German entrees and 2 of those were Wienerschnitzel. There was no Roulade or Sauerbraten and there was no Spaetzle. I asked the waitress if the Schnitzel was homemade, and she told me that "no" it's frozen and they don't make it. I can buy a box of frozen Schnitzel at Aldis, so I opted for the salmon dinner with potato pancakes. The salmon was over seasoned, and the potato pancakes tasted like they were a powdered mix from a box and not fresh. The German potato salad tasted like it was from a can. The waitress never came back to ask how anything tasted. They also charge you 3% to use a credit card. Sorry, Lorelei Inn, but if you're going to advertise yourself as a restaurant serving German food, you should do better than the 3 silly entrees you offer on your menu. The food was simply ok and not a restaurant that I would recommend or...
Read moreI don't think I can say with enough importance how amazingly great their Guinness is. If you have ever been to Ireland where the true Guinness is, then you have to come here. They not only pour it the correct way, but the taste will send you back to ireland in a heartbeat. Whether you grew up there or visited your fond memories will fly back as you sit back and enjoy this creaming dark fantastic drink. Again, I can not boast about this enough. Since my trip to Ireland back home, I have not found a good Guinness until now. I wish I lived closer to this place. You can tell Dave is passionate about his beer and place. It's a German bar but with the best Guinness. He has made it to pour the best Guinness, and he has. It's a combination of everything, the temp and the pour to the clean beer lines. We didn't try the food, but...
Read moreThe exceptional quality of their Guinness is truly remarkable. Having experienced authentic Guinness in Ireland, I can confidently recommend this establishment. Not only is the pouring technique impeccable, but the taste itself evokes the immediate sensation of being back in Ireland, reviving cherished memories from vacation. I cannot overstate the excellence of this creamy, dark, and delightful beverage. Since returning from Ireland, I've yet to find a comparable Guinness until now. Dave's passion for his establishment and his beer is evident. While a German bar, it offers the finest Guinness, a testament to his dedication to perfecting the pouring process, encompassing temperature control, pouring technique, and impeccably clean beer lines. We did not sample the food, but its appearance...
