Anita’s RoadHouse Kitchen — Restaurant in Altamont

Well after talking to many people I had to try this place out. First and foremost if you are coming to eat be sure to drive to the back as they are located in the building. The service was beyond excellent and well the food was excellent, I had the three chicken tacos and my wife had the ribeye taco and the chicharrones taco, we also shared the blue raspberry lemonade which was excellent.The chicken tacos were fantastic and I tried my wife's ribeye taco and I will have to say I will be ordering my next go around. WE will be back soon for sure as this was a great place to grab lunch.

5/10/24-Dropped in with the family today and I just gotta say the food here is absolutely on point.the wife had chicharrones taco's, which I don't care much for but after trying I would definitely order this meal. The daughter had the Two Governador Shrimp and for a ten year old to finish her meal told me they had to be good. I myself ordered 2 of the Sonoran hot dogs and I will have to say, this will be my fast stop for lunch, the $7.00 for this hot dog is right on the spot for the price and it hits the spot. My wife had a chicken quesadilla and I had a ribeye and a chicken vampiros. Everything was fantastic. The quesadilla was warm and packed with chicken and cheese. Not one of those that are a little bit of filling and to much tortilla left over and not over stuffed where it was falling out. The two sauces that came with it are delicious. The red hot sauce is just that, hot. The pink one is cool and full of flavor. One of the best this on this was the home made pickles red onions. Absolutely delicious! The Vampiros I had were moist, full of flavor and delicious! The ribeye was almost melt in your mouth tender, just enough chew to really bring out the flavor of it. If your wondering, no it was not small pieces either. The meat went from one end to the other on both of the Vampiros I had. I will be coming back to try other things on the menu and I would definitely recommend...

Absolutely terrible service, staff was unfriendly. I love trying all the Mexican places in town, but the food here was very disappointing. I've never had different meats all taste the same. They use the pickled Chicharones so they arent the crispy tacos I was expecting and instead had a weird slimy texture. The tables were dirty and I'm not sure how they can wipe down a surface properly when it's that scratchy. They did have an area where you can wash your hands before eating but it's weird seeing debris in the groves of the table from where other people used it. It does look like they put a lot off thought and effort into their decor but it mostly just hurt my eyes with a combination of the lighting and the wall art with the optical illusion. Very...
