This Dunkin’ used to be really good until recent management and staffing changes. I used to work at a Dunkin’ in Orlando and the job can be very stressful during a rush. However, most of the new staff is very cold, rude, or clueless. It has become extremely unwelcoming. I used to order light ice with my drinks, but since new staffing, I have gotten regular ice because they never filled the cup all the way. It wasn’t just slightly under filled, it was more like 2/3 or 3/4 of the cup full, and when I would ask for some milk to fill it up they will straight up tell me no and refuse. Another encounter was a few days ago where a younger kid charged me an iced coffee but took my money that was worth a latte and put it in the drawer. I pointed it out and he looked so confused yet annoyed that I was asking for my money back and to adjust the “iced coffee” to the “iced latte” I ordered so I could pay for the right thing. I am young and like I have said, I used to work at a Dunkin’ so I understand how frazzling and crazy the job can get abs I also understand the food industry workers aren’t appreciated much if at all. I try to be super nice when approaching the workers about the frequent missteps that maybe no one is training them on, but instead I get refused service or feel like I’m stupid by them. So I gave up asking for small fixes. I rarely ever go to Dunkin in Alton now because of how low quality most of the service and especially product has gone down. Really disappointed 😢 The staff before was spectacular. Hopefully it’s just a...
Read moreThis was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a Dunkin’ Donuts. I worked at Dunkin’ Donuts for two years and am very familiar with the rules and policies. When I got to the window this morning, I had asked the cashier about my second black iced tea. She stated I only ordered one (the passengers in my car agreed that I said two black iced teas when at the speaker). I asked the cashier if I could pay for a new one anyways since I had already waited in the drive thru line and it was a simple request. She closed the window on me and then said they can’t “do add ons at the window”. This was the cashiers mistake to which she was trying to blame me for. She refused to take accountability and even inconvenienced me where I had to go into the store and wait until someone I was able to tend to my order. The cashier inside then gave me the wrong change back, shorting me. When I got home, I went to open my food order and it was all incorrect. I had ordered an everything bagel with butter on the side and got a plain bagel with butter on it. I also ordered two bagel bites, which the cashier even asked if I wanted plain and I said yes. Both bagel bites were everything. Overall, this was a terrible experience and I did not feel comfortable going back to the Dunkin due to the employees hostility and lack of customer service. I’m writing this review in hopes that more training is provided...
Read moreAlton dunks has seen a rapid sucsetion of management changes over the past few years from what I've gathered. Its current manager is doing her hardest to turn around the store, mostly by getting the crew properly trained and getting the proper equipment needed to accommodate the brands standard. however from my visits I've seen (and tasted) that old habits die hard. burnt hot coffee. watered down ice coffees. cafua "the franchise owner of this dunks" seems to be oblivious to the underling problem with this location. Its simply to small to accommodate the high volume of traffic that passes through this location. These two stars are Not for the current management its clear she's trying her best with what appears to be a limited budget. or the crew they seem to have a high turn over rate anyway. This rating is for cafua. for cutting corners to make a buck at the expense of the brands quality...
