I just want to start off by saying I took my daughter here for her birthday which is December 31st 2021 we are not from the PA area we are from North Carolina she had a taste for an Italian dish so we ended up going to another restaurant and my daughter was not old enough to eat there you had to be 21 next door and they told us to check Zack's out that they had great food next door so that's how we ended up at Zack's in the first place my bill was about $80 but we had more than enough and three more meals to bring home plus a pie a pizza pie I have you know they have the best food I've eaten a very long time we ordered a side salad which was excellent the vegetables were crisp the dressings were delicious some tasted homemade I tried three different ones we had the crab soup it was absolutely delicious I got an extra cup to bring home we got a cheese pizza the sauce was absolutely perfect combination with the cheese it was thin crust like City Pizza Delicious we got buffalo chicken dip my daughter got a buffalo chicken sub and I tasted it it was absolutely delicious I would order everything I ordered and probably then some everything that we ordered was on point absolutely delicious the environment was very nice very classic Italian old school place I would most definitely eat her again I just want to say thank you and do not forget to try the Oreo cheesecake it was on point I give 10 Stars if I could to this restaurant but I can...

The only reason I placed a 3 is because both my mom and I, became really sick with Salmonella after our meal from last Thursday. We remain sick today - Monday. We believe that the warm Ranch dressing received is the culprit because the chicken was extra crispy - unless it got in contact with raw chicken some how. They just need to be extra careful in the kitchen and ensure sauces like Ranch get refrigerated. We are now having to take antibiotics, so this has not ended too well and my mom is 85, so it is extra hard on her. Otherwise, I love Zach’s - just be EXTRA careful in that kitchen please!! Ps. Please ensure kitchen people wear gloves too - because it could also be the celery being handled by someone who didn’t wash their hands (gross) and/or not wearing gloves. FOOD ONLY REVIEW - The food is mostly palatable, even okay tasking, but not when factoring in the cost of what you are receiving. I have ordered food from here on two occasions, the food was consistent, which is a bummer because I was hoping the first time was just a fluke. I believe this is a fair review, I have allotted for some decline in quality given that it was a to-go order, but the food was an overall disappointment. I was not concerned about food safety or quality of ingredients, those categories seemed fine. My complaint is very simple: it doesn't taste good. Also, if you like good zesty, vinegary, house dressing please do not try their house, it is oily lacking a tang and seems to have a dijon mustard essence. I recognize that some people may love this, but it is not a typical house italian dressing.
