Taco Village — Restaurant in Alva

Always a family favorite for years.

First of all if you are expecting some kind of traditional Mexican food, there are two of those places in Alva. They are good but the American style crispy tacos at Taco Village are so good.

Taco Village tacos are the best most unique tasting tacos in America. And yes, crispy tacos with ground beef is strictly an American take on the original soft taco.

The enchilada con carne chili sauce is exceptionally good. They beat the offerings at the other two places in town.

The combo taco enchilada plate with refried beans is my usual order. Very interesting flavor, not expensive and worth your time.

I love the review ripping the food and hating the long lines. Wonder why the long lines? Because...

Listen, I have never witnessed Mexican food so terrible in my life, the cheese sauce is terrible... the size of the serving is a joke... the fact you guys charge 50 cents per refill is absurd.... ball park nacho cheese and wolf brand chili is not how you serve food in a restaurant... the salsa was good ... the size of the serving is a joke. I don’t understand why I love what is comparable to microwaved cat food in a tortilla, dipped in radioactive canned cheese sauce, that’s way too expensive, but occasionally I just have the craving. My only problem with this place is the inconsistent hours. Right now, for example, it says they’re open. (2pm on Saturday) It’s normal hours. I want tacos for work, and they’re closed.
