I placed a Oder on eats and I got to say I have never been more disappointed from a donut place. The half dozen mixed doughnuts I was given were all sprinkles and dry ,crusty, hard not a good experience they tasted around a day old like when you leave a donut out all day till the next day on the counter not soft at all. The beignet was warm but I know they put them in the microwave because when you over heat bread it becomes rubbery and slightly hard with some stretch to it and the powder sugar was not grabbing on to it . The salted caramel coffee was one of the worst coffees I’ve ever had it tasted like rubbing alcohol disgusting . The creamer was old and clumpy it was very bitter I let my family taste it they all thought it had alcohol I had to pour it down the drain I was exited and it was just a huge let down . Lost one customer . I don’t recommend save your money by the way my total was 25 for everything not good not...
Read moreTheir donuts are a little under cooked and always cold so I am not sure why the wait time is so long when you serve cold glazed donuts. Please serve hot glazed and with a little crisp on top donuts just like the Sienna location. Their donuts are superb. The glazed donuts here are like a tan color instead of a hint of brown (crisp). The donuts should have a fluff on the inside and not a mushy look. You guys are taking the donuts out the fryer too fast. Let it have a hint of brown on top. I should not have to request fresh hot donuts every time I come and then have to wait because you don't have fresh glazed donuts available. This should be automatic. The customer service is awesome but the donuts are not that good compared to other Shipley's. I hope the owner will read this. Maybe you should try the Sienna location glazed donuts during morning rush hours and you will see and taste...
Read moreSo being a native Houstonian, Shipley's has a standard taste and freshness. I never would have reviewed this location, but the last 3 visits they didn't have HOT donuts. How do we visit before 7am and I have to ask them to warm the donuts. Shipley's donuts are meant to be eaten hot. Once they cool its a wrap. It's close to my house so I bring my son, but close isn't always better. I guess I have to go to the Ella, MLK or West Bellfort location.
It would be great if they had a hot sign like the Ella location. I would just expect hot donuts at 6:45am or 7am. Just me though. I see everyone loves this location, maybe the drive-thru is not the best way to get hot...
