Chiyo's — Restaurant in Amarillo

We would come here once or twice a week. We will not be coming here again. Completely ruined my order for the second time. Put sauce all over the jerky when we asked for no sauce, put huge chunks of onion and upped the price for a third of the old portions.

Used to be a great place with nice employees and big portions, they never used to mess up or order. Now they keep messing up our order and lied TO OUR FACE that the containers are the same size even though they are a third of the original portions.

The woman who lied to us has seen us there often, and had the audacity to lie to our face that they had been using the to go containers for 20 years. This place hasn't beed here for 20 years so i have no idea how that makes sence.

We will not be coming here again....

We were craving Chinese from where we grew up, the Bay Area of CA. We wanted Egg Foo Young. We remembered the patty bursting with bean sprouts and the thick brown sauce. When we opened the boxes at home, our hearts dropped. The Egg Foo Young wasn't as we hoped. No bursting bean sprout patty. The sauce was not thick and it was full of mushrooms. I delighted in the mushrooms. The flavor was there just not what we expected visually. The fried rice.... pass on it. We could have ordered steamed and had same effect. This was probably some of the best sweet and sour chicken I've ever had. I always heard good reviews of Chiyo's so we decided to try it. We wanted to go in and eat but when we got there, we saw a sign saying drive thru only. They're suffering from staff shortages like everyone else. We went through the drive thru and waited but there was nothing. Their speaker doesn't work so just drive up to the window. They had specials posted on the window. It started out as sort of a rough experience but the food really made up for it.
