Carter's Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Americus

9/23/22 We've been in line literally over 45 minutes. We started in line right at the edge of the building, so there weren't many cars. And to make it worse, when we finally got to the ordering board, The person couldn't understand we wanted cole slaw and fries as the sides. He kept saying potato salad and fries 🤨. A hour in line for two - white piece dinner; and the order was incorrect when we reached the window to pay and receive the food!! Never again!! Finally home and I must say, the food is delicious 🙂.

September 30, 2022 we ordered a 1 piece white meal and a 2 piece white meal; both with fries and slaw. Both were delicious. There was no roll on either plate. I wish I had known they don't add the roll anymore. We would have asked for them to be added for an extra fee. I still give it a 5-star rating today for speed, service, and the food.

5/23/25 The sandwich combo and 2-piece white meal were awesome! Service was quick and pleasant.

06/19/25 This evening the crew seemed off balanced. Neither seemed to know which order they each were working on; and appeared puzzled at moments. We got home and food was missing. As my child was walking back through the door to receive the food they left out of the bag, another customer was also returning to get the food left out of his order. In spite of the confusion, everything we ordered was good. I know we all have off days, so all is well. Lesson learned.....Always check the bag before leaving...

I ordered a thigh sandwich and a dinner plate and I didn't get nothing I ordered. My thigh sandwich was all wrong my dinner plate didn't have want i ordered and when I called the guy that picked up told me that it was nothing he could do..., My situation was handle and I appreciate the service I just receive, Thanks alot...it's December 31st 2020 and I did an order over the phone and my order came out to be 42.46 but all my order wasn't in the bag when I got home so when I call back to tell them they said it wasn't there problem so what I'm supposed to do about my order or money, it's Tuesday October 12, and I did an order and it was wrong and they want correct it..please tell me...

Outstanding!

On a recent visit to Americus I was looking for a local place from which to grab a meal for the road home. Passing Carter's on my way out of town, I circled the block to get back to them, and I am glad that I did.

My wife ordered a chicken tender meal with mashed potatoes and fried okra. I on the other hand chose their double cheeseburger and a side of fries.

Even in the middle of the afternoon, both meals tasted fresh and were well prepared.

We enjoyed both dishes and I must say,

"Don't overlook the burger. It is a most generous portion, and it tasted like and old school Whopper. Dang,...
