Until they actually invite in a professional "business consultant" which seems desperately needed here, here's my current feedback. Great corner lot location. Decent bakery. I hear the coffee ☕️ is best in the land. People seem nice enough. OK but there are two.... TWO registers 💳 so there should never be a line. I suggest they switch to SELF-SERVE COFFEE as things will move a lot smoother then AND it will free up the seemingly confused cashiers who have a hard enough time ringing up standard orders. Make the pizza 🍕 every day. They need to serve it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This way no customer is confused as to when they have it. Twice in 6 months I've asked about Pizzza and NO ONE seems to have any clue about it. Name tags for everyone and everything in the store especially display cases this way customers are not asking every second "what is that is that a croissant"? And the cashier not knowing so she has to go find help wasting everyones precious time. Have a signboard with pricing on a chalkboard with lights. Designate the 2 front doors as dedicated IN AND OUT so this will enhance the flow and not cut the line and so forth. Afford some air conditioning for staff as well as customers. Bakeries are hot understood but I've been to other places and well. During holiday season make turkey pot pies 🥧 and spicy chilli with corn bread and gifts of gingerbread items etc. I see.the gingerbread houses but I mean cookies, muffins, cakes etc. Loaves of bread made daily and set aside at 2nd register would be ideal bc then customers can grab and go but only if they are on a rack and labeled 🏷 idk seems this place could be managed and run waaaaayyyyy more efficiently than it currently is. I hear folks complain a lot about the help and lines and ambiance and it's just sad when someone has a good skill or trade to offer and just can't seem to hold it together. This bakery has more potential than any store front in Amesbury complete with a parking lot but falls short of modern, organized, efficient, and inviting. Idk people say it just gives off a weird vibe. Writing this review to be helpful not hurtful. I am not the only one who sees the potential here and wants a place to come meet a friend for coffee or pick up something for the family before or after work and not have this angst feeling about stopping by or coming in. Idk. Wishing the best. "Things can only get better". -Singer...
Read moreI’m a local and love to support local, and have tried and tried again with Andymans. After 8 years I’m finally calling it quits after my experience this morning. I was happy to walk in and be able to order right away with no wait time, but the chaotic 16 year olds running the show managed to turn that right around. Trying to place an order for Chicken Salad Sandwich. I asked if there were nuts in it, she half listened to my question, ran to the food prep section and brought back a piece of chicken in her hand to show me? Confused I re-asked the question. She had difficulty with the POS system, had to call someone over, but i finally placed my order and sat to wait. The line had now grown to be out the door. Cool. I was asked by a different woman a questions about the order I already answered. I continue to wait. I am then asked the same question by the same woman. Whatever.. I finally get my order. Annoyed from my experience, I leave. My fault for not checking the bag for “accuracy” of the two very simple sandwiches I order. I get home and find that not only is one sandwich made wrong, and missing 1/4 of the bagel (likely sitting on their workspace…) the other sandwich had a nice little hair in it. I’m done. I’ll support a different local shop from here out out. Waste of money and energy for a...
Read moreI eat here regularly. I'm posting this review in the hopes that management might make some necessary changes.
Despite having decent quality food and drinks, what I've noticed most often eating here is dysfunction and disorganization. Today, the printer doesn't work, which I understand from having worked in food service before, but it's really just the excuse of the day. Service has been slow the majority of times I've been here. I've worked in smaller, busier shops than this which put out food of similar quality at a faster rate.
To their credit they tend to go out of their way to get coffee orders and such from people standing in line, but it wouldn't be necessary to do so if the line weren't always so atrociously long.
Maybe the crew is underpaid, or maybe the kitchen is understaffed (maybe due to wages being too low), or maybe the whole system could just benefit from restructuring (and of course an appropriate pay raise for the employees to compensate them for the extra work they're being asked to do). I'm not the manager, I don't work here, but one thing is clear from an outside perspective. This place could be a lot better with very few changes. I might be looking for a new Sunday morning breakfast place until such...
