Captain's Club — Restaurant in Amherst

Not sure what happened to the first review I posted (removed?), but my husband and I stopped in during walking on Wednesday in August to get a drink. The bartender saw us arrive but continued to wait on two people that came in after us before finally approaching us to take our order. If it were busy, I would have understood, however, there were at the most 10 people in the bar. When she finally made it down to us to ask us what we wanted she couldn’t even tell us what was on tap, and smartly replied “oh honey I don’t know what we have on tap. My cousin came with me , now mind you he is old as dirt in real life , and the bar tender who was obviously older than old dirt proceeded to double-check his ID , not in a playful way but as in its not actually him. She said, and I quote, "You look older in this picture." THEN PROCEEDED TO DOUBLE CHECK THE ID .............my cousin looks obviously of mixed race and the only individual that his ID was under question out of 4 of us . 🙄 smells a little...

Its ok..but if your new to the bar expect to get stared at and talked about the entire time your there..I ordered a drink and it had two gnats in it..I didn't even drink half of it..told the bartender I didn't want anymore of it because of it n she asked if I wanted anything else n I told her no i was ok..she was nice..kinda felt bad because it wasn't her fault and don't want her to think it was..good...
