PAY ATTENTION TO ALL FEES ON RECEIPT... Ziggy's has enacted very shady pricing practices. Customers paying with a card are subject to 4% more than paying for cash. That includes tips put on the card. Although the practice is legal, the server will have his or her tip reduced by 4%. After fully covering the establishments associated costs with the various fees imposed by using cards, Ziggy's then tacks on an additional $0.99 credit card fee. Now Ziggy's is far from the first in the service industry to directly pass fees onto their customers. Only thing is, it should be one or the other, pay more for using a card or get a credit card fee. You most certainly DO NOT impose both. 4% HIGHER BILL (covers all their expense) PLUS A CARD FEE is straight up gouging the customer as they profit from this stupendously foolish practice. Inflation has managed to hit all aspects of life recently. It is of no surprise that businesses look to unburden themselves of many of the extra expenditures. It's a darn shame that they took this dark path. We will not be returning and no longer will Ziggy's be recommended to others.

I came in because my husband wanted a good burger. Local food. Trying to give this establishment a second chance after an experience with the owner in march for a venue booking for funeral and they mishaped scheduling us, either way This venue is overcharging customers service charges for credit card usage, which SHOULD be advised upon entering on table, 3.36 today. See photo. Also, 99ct for aside of dressing for fries with your meal. And we were overcharged 3.99 1 cup soup for my mothers meal when the server asked what sides she wanted. AND never objectively said hey its *upcharge etc!!! Slow service slow check over all attitude just needs desired. Prices are on the higher side. Tables needed cleaned servers complained we didn't sit in the area they were in ear shot of them. Just odd atmosphere. Experiences like this makes for bad business.

Overall, the experience was good, the atmosphere was very spacious and inviting. The food was good less the unexpected bones in the Lake Erie Perch meal; thankful this wasn’t the piece my child ate. I reviewed 3/5 because of the potential risk the fish posed and actually getting one bone stuck when I ate my leftovers (note the bones already in the container from this same piece). My kids ate the taco salad, boneless wings and kids corn dog meal; all received with good reviews and good portions. We also had the homemade chips and dip, which was a hit. The staff, as in most establishments these days, was rushing and seemed overwhelmed yet remained pleasant and did ok. I would give it another go but would intentionally select food more bar/pub style than the fish entree.

Had my first experience at Ziggy’s tonight and was pretty excited since I had heard nothing but good things. I quickly realized I was not a fan at all. The waitress was not knowledgeable about anything on the menu and actually struggled to explain what their cheese dip was like. Not only did she have no knowledge of what she was serving, she actually seemed annoyed every time she stopped at our table. We ordered their pimento cheese dip and wings to start and I was impressed with the portion sizes and the taste of the food (unfortunately the ONLY thing I was impressed with) there were 4 of us sharing the dip and we had run out of chips so I asked for more to finish what dip we had. I also had shrimp as an entree and the pineapple sauce they gave me didn’t taste right so I asked her for cocktail sauce instead ... yes she continued to seem annoyed by everything but we just started to get used to it. When she brought me my check it seemed about $5-6 off from what I was expecting. While I looked over the bill I noticed almost $5 of extra charges. $2.56 for chips to finish our dip and $0.99 for a replacement sauce because I didn’t like theirs. Based on principle I asked why we would get charged almost $3 for chips when we had half of our dip left and I already paid almost $9 just for the dip! She had no answer so I asked for a manager. A kitchen guy came out to talk to me which I assumed was taking the roll of back house manager for this situation because apparently customer service isn’t a thing anymore. I informed him that I had never been charged for extra chips before when already paying for a dip that comes with chips and I had definitely never been charged $3!!! for extra chips! He said “well I don’t know that’s what we charge” ... I continued to state that the dip was expensive enough and the fact that we needed more chips to finish what was left shouldn’t cost me another $3. He stated “ well that’s not a special price we made just for you, thats what we charge everyone” ... astounded I proceeded to ask him if he was that rude to ALL the customers that he comes in contact with? He started to say no and fumble over his words which is when I told him that he could go ahead and charge me the full amount, I was done talking and he could leave now. The waitress came and apologized for them not just appeasing me and taking it off the bill. In all actuality it is HER responsibility to inform her guests of such extra charges before just continuously adding onto someone’s bill. I was a waitress and bartender for MANY years and I would have never charged someone for any extras without informing them first. Mark was this so called “managers” name. I will be calling tomorrow to speak to an actual manager and I hope that at the very least they learn that professionalism, respect and being polite are what-is required of an individual who works in a...

This place is a joke. After speaking with “Paul” the supposed manager of the establishment, regarding my first and LAST experience at ziggys ... I was not surprised at all by the horrible experience I had last night. Not only was my server completely clueless about the menu items but she seemed annoyed that she had to serve us. When I ordered a $9 dip and asked for extra chips to finish it ... she proceeded to charge me $2.56 for those extra chips and didn’t think I would want to know that I would be charged that ridiculous amount to finish a dip I had already paid $9 for! She went ahead and charged me for those chips without informing me and then decided to charge me another $0.99 for cocktail sauce because I didn’t like their pineapple sauce. As a former server/bartender I would NEVER have charged someone for those extras without informing them of the up charge. So when I got my bill and it was almost $5 more than what I expected I asked her to speak to a manager. “Mark” also a “manager” came to the table and decided that instead of apologizing for the server not telling me of the extra charges ... he was going to cop an attitude and tell me that “we didn’t make that a special price just for you, we charge everyone that price” and throw his hands up like I’m some kind of idiot. #1 your wait staff is a mess #2 you should have a manager there at ALL times and not a manager from the back of house that doesn’t have any type of customer service skills #3 I read so many bad reviews about the managers from this place and already expected the absolute worst when getting a return phone call ... Paul decided to tell me that I had no reason to feel insulted and that I must be confused because there’s a difference between someone patronizing me and someone insulting me so he’s not quite understanding my issue. I feel like I have never in my life dealt with such blatant disrespect and NO ONE that I know will EVER visit this...

I just strolled into this worthless establishment after a 10-hour shift and a long day before that working on my house. Just wanted to wind down for going home. Place I've stopped into maybe a half dozen times over the past 3 or 4 months. I belly up to the bar, pick out an IPA that's intentionally low ABV, and the bartender asks what I want. I told her what I had decided, at first I thought she was joking when she told me she couldn't serve me. I responded with a joke by asking if the guy next to her could serve me. It was clear there were beers being served at that moment. I had seen this bartender a few times. She said I appeared too drunk to be served. Mind you 12 minutes earlier I was leaving my job at a secure government facility.

I had a mutual friend that tried to work there maybe 6 months ago. She talked about how racist and disgusting the staff was and how petty. Supposedly the kitchen was pretty disgusting as well. But my friend had worked in some pretty high-end restaurants and besides I never eat there I just want a beer. The other place down the road is so packed you can't get to the counter and that wasn't what I was looking for.

Seriously that place used to be a fine establishment but the few times I've been there has been ironically a bunch of...
