Worst Experience Showed up for dinner Sunday evening and we were kindly greeted and taken to our table by host. About 10 minutes after being seated our waiter made appearance and we were ready with our order. We asked for chips and salsa while we waited for our food to be served. When our fajitas arrived they were not sizzling. I then addressed the waiter and questioned. He offered to take then back and have meat reheated. I advised there was no need, I was simply expecting sizzling fajitas as advertised. As we resume to create our first fajitas, took a couple of bites, I find my boyfriend's plate has a human hair sticking out of the corn pudding that was served on the same plate, next to the teaspoon-sized serving of guacamole. At first, I hesitated to tell my boyfriend because he was chewing and I wanted to ensure it wasn't simply a hair from the corn husk. I stared, I needed more light to confirm, and so I told him. I then flashed my phone light and sure enough...it was evident and disgusting. We immediately lost our appetite. The waiter had a very nonchalant reaction and simply said..."okay, I'll bring you another one!" I stated there was no way we were about to eat any food and so our waiter proceeded to call the manager. The manager, Luis, likewise offered to bring us a new serving. I refused and requested full comp. Luis immediately removed our full plates and advised he'd take care of comp. What really bothered me is that both of the employees seemed very comfortable with our unpleasant findings. As if they are accustomed to this type of incident. They both had the same initial solution in mind which was to replace the corn pudding prior to suggesting the replacement of the full dish. First visit in years and...

Location: I've been to about 4 different El Torito locations and this is definitely one of the better ones. It is a fairly small restaurant compared to others, but it will sit atleast one large party. It's never too busy, even during happy hour. There is limited parking since it's within a small plaza and in front of Benihanna.
Service: Good service. I love coming here during Sunday brunch and the waiters are always on top of everything. They refill our drinks on time, ask if we're done with our plates, check up on us, and so on. They're very friendly and always start small talk. They'll sing happy birthday in Spanish upon request!
Food: If you're looking for an awesome Sunday brunch at a good price, El Torito is the way to go. TONS of options! Tacos, omelet station, pozole, menudo, sweet Mexican bread, salads, fruit, ceviche, etc. $17.99 and you get all of this, plus more?! Yes please! Don't forget to ask for your mimosa as well. Of course they don't serve authentic Mexican tacos, but their tacos are good. I've had some of their entrees before and if I'm in the mood for Mexican food, I'll just go somewhere else. (Stay away from their tamales, not good.) But if I'm in the mood for some brunch or a place to sit down and have some tacos on a Tuesday, I will definitely be here. $5 margaritas on Taco Tuesday are always a plus!
Be on the lookout on Facebook. Sometimes they will post offers or some cool deals going on. Just yesterday I grabbed a $3 off Sunday Brunch offer!
Fun Fact: El Torito is rated #1 Best Sunday Brunch according to the Orange...
Read moreI orderer chimichanga burrito which was 9/10. Only down side was I ask for Zero cheese on anything and they still put some on my order. I don't know if it they put it on the bean but this is no excuse for this. Also we ask for a hotter sauce for our chip however the guy brought it to us upon bringing our food which was pointless because we had ate the chips and sauce Another thing was we order a salad and the guy said it would be an additional charge for lettuce which I didn't mind the additional charges however I didn't appreciate his tone he said it to me. We had to stop by for dinner because we had to leave back home. The guy didn't check on us to refill our drink or if we want mor3 alcohol drinks. Another down side their table were sticky which it also had little bugs and fruit flys as well. After we were done we ask for the check which he did bring however he was staring at us walking around for 10 minutes and we tried to inform him we were ready to pay and didn't come. We had to walk to him to pay. We did leave a decent tip which honestly he didn't deserve. To finish this off both restrooms available were extremely dirty with no paper to dry your hand and the sink was wet dripping with water to the floor. We were nice to the fellow however visiting out of state coming here was a mistake. I guess the 1,748 review don't really give the creditablity of all of the customers feedback I thought was going to received! I won't be back here on next visit...
