The @rodrigosmexicangrill BEAN AND CHEESE BURRITO in Orange, CA! bean and cheese burreetz admittedly not the star of the experience, but a stretchy, bean-y experience nonetheless. Came for the homestyle feels, the durability of the bean and cheese (4+ flips and the structure in tact!), the nachos with black olives, the margarita flights with friends, the mini beef, chicken and chile verde chimichangas (chile verde the best one by far 🤤)! Also, desserts included flan 🍮, deep fried ice cream in a churro dusted tostada shell and the star of the show freshly fried churros 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 Also heard this place has a 3-foot burrito -- but we need a 24 hour notice...stay tuned! Where yall think this burrito lands in the top 100?! LMK 😮‍💨👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽

Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill recently added a summer flair to their menu with some tasty new entrees and we are excited to share our favorites: The Mexican Caesar Salad was quite a surprise. It was presented so beautifully in a tortilla bowl, the colorful ingredients included crispy romaine lettuce, queso fresco, roasted pepitas & corn, black beans, sliced avocado & radishes, and diced tomato, with a creamy Caesar dressing, You can choose to add a protein, in which we selected shrimp. It was quite a generous portion too. The Fish Tacos were delicious. Beer-battered wahoo fished, drizzled with spicy mayo, and topped with shredded cabbage, pico de gallo. They added chunks of mango, which was refreshing and was so good. I’ve always loved their beans and rice, also made fresh daily like their chips and salsa. My husband enjoyed a classic carne asada burrito with fresh chunks of beef, rice, onions, cilantro, pico de gallo and salsa. He opted to have the beans on the side and added cheese.  Craft cocktails have also been added to the menu. I sampled both the Mariachi Margarita and the Paloma. The margarita was sweet and a bit fruity with passion fruit liqueur, orange juice and simple syrup. The paloma, which comes in a cute, specialty glass, was surprisingly sweet. It was made of Patron silver, grapefruit and lime with agave and pamplemousse. They also have a Mexican mule, in a copper cup with  Luna Azul Blanco Tequila with ginger beer. We have been loyal patrons of the Rodrigo’s in Buena Park since our kiddos were little, and during this visit, we spoke with the lovely Lala Fraser. We discovered Rodrigos is a family-owned chain of Mexican restaurants throughout Southern California. The Fraser family opened their first restaurant, Don Jose, in 1972. In 2018, the family merged all the restaurants as Rodrigo’s Mexican Grill. Named after their late father, Rod, they still serve some of our favorite dishes with the same great service and servers. A few of their staff members have been employed for as long as we can remember, making our local Rodrigo’s feel like home. @Rodrigos_Mexican_Grill #Rodrigos #RodrigosPartner #RodrigosMexicanGrill #deliciousMexicanfood #foodie #foodblogger #socalfoodie

I can’t feel bad writing this review. Not only was the service at the bar absolutely horrible, but every employee besides the bus boy was unfriendly and in unknowledgeable. We sat at the bar and immediately felt like the bartender was annoyed with us. She asked what we wanted to drink before we got a menu, or even had a chance to completely sit in our chairs. We realized later on looking at the menu after we had to ask for one, that it was Happy Hour. She just casually walked away. When she came back after another 10 minutes she literally said well I’m off in 20 minutes...I guess I’ll just hand over a written check to the kitchen. Him and I both didn’t understand this since we both know how easy it is to transfer a check on a computer. Also we shouldn’t be rushed out or told we couldn’t order because she was getting off work. The food was flavorless and unfortunately it all came at once...when we asked for appetizer to be dropped off before hand ( since we had little room at the bar). We had two bites of our food and she came over and told us she was leaving as she was counting a giant wad cash. We couldn’t tip her at this point. She proceeded to clock out and count her money at the host stand. So unprofessional and rude. Also don’t order a Margarita!!! They pour it from a giant container and its mixed with Tequila on the label. So gross! $60+$10tip(cuz it went to the new bartender that just clocked in) wasn’t worth it.... Also there seemed to be a buffet in the corner people were filling up plates on from all parts of the restaurant but even the hosts had no idea what is was for. This experienced ruined my whole day, we...

This is the second time that I've eaten at this location. The last time was about five months ago but that was only for "Happy Hour". Having eaten at the location in Anaheim Hills for many years I was used to the food being very hot when served. Most of the time the server would warn about the plate being hot. Appreciated the steak sizzling on the platter.

Yesterday I met a friend there for "Happy Hour". We originally intended to be there for an hour or so but we decided to order dinner. My friend ordered Carne Asada and I ordered a burrito with the usual side dishes. The food was served in about 15 minutes. Both meals were "luke warm" to the extent that we were both considering sending them back. However due to time constraints we elected not to do so.

Also a little more effort could be put into cleaning the bathrooms. There was a inspection "sign off" sheet which was behind schedule and I also noticed an employee leaving the "stall" and exiting without washing his hands.

The waiter did a good job and the atmosphere was as expected. The bill was about $72 and and we paid $100 in cash so the server was happy.

Hopefully if and when we go back hopefully steps will have been taken to correct...

We had the large party, and the service was great, and they did not hesitate to keep us hydrated plus quite a few salsa and chips before we started to get orders going .

Saw the review about veggie fajita was good, so I give it a try. Unfortunately, it was not as described it.

First impression: The wrought iron plat was warm, not hot. Veggie fajitas was dripping outside the plate as images. Now, the Marinated Portobella mushroom is supposed to be the 1st ingredient in the fajitas. Where is it?I think this $20 dishes mainly for stir fry onion and squashes. Feels like a no flavor, greasy stir-fry with leftover ingredients.

Cheese on top of the beans turned to solid sheet, beans were warm only,no hot. But the little tray of guacamole was good. If they can't get that right, that will be a sad story.

Also, the bottom of the wooden tray was full of white grease. Each time I move the wooden tray, it will create a white mess on the table. My friend had to help me hold it up and then cover with napkin.

Overall, thanks, Max. (I hope I have your name right). You are wonderful. The food is just...
