The food was good but will not be going back!! I have eaten firehouse in Florida as well as 2 weeks ago in Enterprise with no issue at all. Ordered the same way each time with kind customer service at other locations. My son accompanied me to the visit in Andalusia and he has never ate firehouse, so I knew it would be a discussion between me and him to figure out what he wanted. We are very picky eaters. It is much easier to say "ONLY" meat, lettuce, mayo rather than saying "NO" to about 6 different items. I also always add olive to mine, which is not on the Turkey Bacon Ranch, so it is an additional item. I guess it was too complicated to comprehend a few items that is wanted rather than mentioning 6 that is not 🤦🏻♀️ While I do understand this is not subway as I was advised when my son asked if they had Italian bread, he's a child, and NO, he does not understand! A simple no would have sufficed, and then I could have continued to ask him what all he wanted on it as I was doing in the first place between me and him. Turning and facing him while talking even gives clear body gesture that I'm discussing options with my child, not asking you what comes on a sandwich that is written on the wall. Instead (another girl) the cashier then began calling out everything that was on some italian sub because she assumed thats what we wanted when she heard the word itlian bread making it even more complicated and frustrating for me to narrow down what he would actually eat. Mistakes happen, so no big deal. Despite the tension at this point, I continued to let it go and be kind by saying "Thank You" multiple times. I try to be kind regardless because you never know what people are going through. But even when I clarified, we wanted the turkey bacon ranch again she began calling out what comes on it. There was no need. The issue was NOT that we were confused about the name of the business or what comes on it. It was the comprehension while listening to the customer's request of a few items that they do want. I intentionally said "ONLY" because it is much easier and quicker. (Again FL and Enterprise had no confusion this way and responded kindly so I'm not sure why it was so difficult here) I worked fast-food from 14-22 and even managed it at one point. From experience, people are going to ask questions, simply answer them without being rude or making the situation more tense, especially when children are being asked what they want by a parent. I also was courteous and came inside rather than drive thru just because I know our order is different and wanted to have time to discuss options without being rushed or holding a line up. No one else was in store other than employees sitting so it wasn't like we were delaying anyone by asking a few questions. Also, people are going to order items and customize them (whether upcharge or not). *ex. It is not that hard to charge me for a Turkey Bacon Ranch. I say ONLY meat (turkey & bacon) ONLY lettuce, add olive. Simple. I do not have to call out 8 things we do not want then continue to clarify what I do want. That's unnecessary. If you have other items in store (whether ranch, mayo, spicy sauce, olives and etc) it can be added to a sandwich despite that sandwich not originally coming with it. That is why people ask what you do have. Same concept as if someone ordered a McDouble from McDonald's and says ONLY big Mac sauce. Yes, clearly, it does not come on it, but even they comprehend to get the bread, meat and add JUST sauce, wrap it up and hand it out. Overall, I just feel customer service should be improved. Maybe a little training on how to communicate with special order request. How to hide frustration. How to refrain from rude remarks. How to NOT make a special order WAAYYYY more complicated just because you can't click a button real quick and carry on. Even at 14, I was doing special orders on a weekly basis and never presented myself in a way other than professional and kind. Customer service and communication are the biggest parts of...
Read moreMy mother and I went for lunch. My mother ordered the chili and potato soup. I order the Italian sub and salad. I told the cashier.. a white lady, who seemed nice that is until I said I asked for no cheese on my sandwich and no mayo. She replied to me "thats how you ordered it". I proceeded to stop in my tracks and was so taken aback and considering a death in my family said one or 2 profanity words on how I oedered.i turned and requested my mothers money back and I offered to pay for the drink. They didn't give her money back they remade the sandwich so it appeared and scraped the mayo off the bread. There wasn't a sorry or any type of apology for the mistake or most importantly her behavior. I hope and pray noone else goes through this type of poor customer service and poor choice of words qhen dealing with a customer from that cashier or the establishment...
Read moreIt is bothersome that every time I order I receive the wrong food or I pay for something that is not in the bag. Tonight I got a hook and ladder and a club both cold. They made two hook and ladders. I understand there are similarities however one cost more and didn’t have the extras that were requested. If this didn’t happen every time I wouldn’t bother. I tried to call while they were still open and no one answered so I waited until the drive thru closed and still no answer. I would like to have the food I paid for. Please replace my order. Out of the many times I have ordered and not received the correct food, can it be refunded or remade this time. Maybe management doesn’t know. Maybe it was near the end of shift and mistakes were made however this has happened no matter what time of day I...
