My favorite Mexican restaurant in Anderson. Food: The food is authentic. This is not a like one of the Hacienda restaurants or an Americanized Mexican restaurant, you're not going to find your food smothered in nacho cheese. If you're looking for a taste of Mex.ico, then this is it 👍🏾🇲🇽 I've been here many times. The ceviche is great, my favorite from there is the Al Pastor street tacos! They have an amazing caldo de Camarón (shrimp 🦐 soup) and Caldo de pollo (chicken 🐔 soup). I need another many things there that I can't remember, but it's also delicioso 😋. The prices are not bad for how good the food is and the serving sizes are grande. Oh, don't forget to get a delicious Horchata (not from a container) or Jamaica juice.
Service: I think this restaurant can seat about 40 people. I have been there when they were only about 15 to 20, and only had to wait about 3 minutes to be seen by the server girl, another 2 minutes for my drink and to order and then maybe a total of 15 to have my food at the table. I've only seen 3 people working at once: The owner (he cooks) is very nice and seems to understand English, another person that cooks and the server girl. They are all nice. I've never been on Wednesday or Thursday, but ever time I've been there it has been the same server. She understands my English very well, speaks a little English as well, but I choose to speak Spanish with her for practice. She's very nice and it looks like she does multiple jobs (serving, I've seen her cooking and I think she also washes dishes and cleans the bathroom and other things), I encourage anyone to tip her well (in cash); I've never left less than $10 because she gets super busy and still does an amazing job!
Atmosphere: The music is very nice, but is sometimes too loud. If you ask to select music they hand you the remote, I keep the music in Spanish. The will turn down the volume is asked. Very polite. It's very clean inside. The decor is very Mexican. I love this place. They also have take out and you can...
Read moreOrdered the arroz con pollo, side of queso and tender cactus.
Did not receive the cactus at all.
Queso tasted very thin, hardly even tasted like cheese.
The arroz con pollo Special was a catastrophic disappointment. The chicken was grey. It both looked and tasted like it had been boiled in water, days ago. Absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. Bland as can be. Only the lightest drizzle of queso on top which had been soaked by the rice. Rice was a pretty color of orange, but completely flavorless. The included peppers and onions were shriveled up and mushy like they were old or severely overcooked AND they were fried in chorizo grease, most of which coated the inside of the delivery bag. That, however, may have been the driver's fault.
Prices are roughly the same as every other Mexican restaurant in ton, but with the portions being HALF of the others'.
Overall, this was a miserable first experience at Lindo Michoacan and one that I am not even remotely interested...
Read moreI visited the restaurant at a quiet time. We ordered the steak nachos, steak burrito, chicken burrito, and queso. The food didn't take long, and we enjoyed their freshly prepared salsa and tortilla chips. The chips are worthy of being sold as a standalone, and the salsa beats out anything you can get at the store. I have given them four stars, because the queso was watery. It had an excellent flavor but it would have soaked the food if I would have used it. I did use chips to taste it and they are very much onto something, but it's not thick enough and it's not like cheese. The chicken and rice in my burrito were cooked to perfection, all of the flavors were robust and the food had a very authentic taste. I will definitely visit again, and I will take chips...
