I had been told the pizza here was amazing. When I told them about the good review I had head they offered me two free pies from a previously cancelled order, so that impressed me. The decor wasn't like any pizzeria I've seen in the NY/NJ/CT Tristate Area. It was very old fashion and had a pub feeling to it, but I liked the wooden booths. The ingredients all tasted good. The style of pizza wasn't like back home, but that was expected, and for what it was, it was great. I don't know if other pizza in this area is similar, but it was very unique to me. The crust was thin in a way I liked, the toppings were under the cheese, oddly, and they weren't cheap with how high they piled them. If there was anything about this place I didn't like, it was that the pizza where I live is even better the second day, but I liked theirs better the first day. The atmosphere felt as good as in a family restautant, and that was nice since I was eating alone.
The friend that sent me here said this was the best pizza in the world. I wouldn't go that far, but it was definitely the best pizza I've had in Indiana, and worth...
Read moreIf you want inconsistencies then this is your place. I am wondering we always order out and the order is never right or totally different depending on who makes it up...is it like that for those of you that eat the in too? We have taken things back, called and was told to come back, had it identified when we walked back in that the cook decided to cook some things differently and all new was made. We are out and hear the name and cringe...then someone in the group will say how great things are and been going there for years...so do you have to know someone or what to get the same thing correct each time you order???? I usually get a side Caesar salad $3 so today go with the chicken Caesar large....at almost $9 this one minus the shaved parmesan had a pile of sprinkle parmesan in the corner and no way the portion of chicken or added lettuce was $5. Just another bad one to add...
Read moreThe food is always delicious. There is a variety of pizza's and pasta dishes' and they even have (7 inch only) a crustless pizza, they have different kinds of sandwiches oh and salads plus other appetizers. They have a very good veggie pizza. Myself I will sometimes get it with Marinara sauce instead of pizza sauce and I love to put banana peppers on almost all my pizzas and on all the Italian sandwiches. They are so good. You can have regular bread sticks that are yummy or they have pretzel bread sticks they are way good and you have a choice of sauces or cheese to dip them in. I have been going there for around 15 years and I recommend scamp's to people all the time. Go see for yourself It is very good to dine In or...
