La Carreta Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Andrews

I was told that this place has good food But it was the worse so called Mexican restaurant. Upon entering it seemed nice. Then the BS began The waitress took 20 min to get our drinks even though there where only 3 tables with a few people and 3 waitresses. Then I made the mistake of ordering cheese dip, right away noticed a crust of cheese over the top and it was cold. Ok so we made the most horrible mistake of all and ordered the Menudo now at first glance I did see that the menu is very large and I know by experience that restaurants with wide variety of food is always horrible, and I was right the Menudo tasted like a clamato I didn't know if I wanted to eat more or eat it with a beer. So after that horrible experience of food we paid, and the checker asked how was everything so I went on the explain to him what I thought, and he really couldn't have cared less didn't seem interested at all but what can I say I'm sure if I heard complaints every day I would probably stop caring too it's not like you need customers to get paid. Food was ok,not the best, i ordered tacos arrachera and the meat was very tough. I am mostly upset at the cashier, we had a problem with the cashier. Main complaint was that they did not put the gratuity information for 6 persons on the receipt so I added 18% tip not knowing they had added it already. I came back a few minutes later because i felt they over charged me. Sure enough once I made her add our plates she finally said there was a gratuity for 6 persons added and I should’ve seen it on the menu. I told her I understood the gratuity for 6 people or more but they should include that amount on the receipt so we can see it was added. I told her I wanted to be refunded the tip I added (18%) and she was very rude, told the waitress I had taken away her tip. Which was not true because the cashier had already added the gratuity tip( 20%) which it still did not add up, I believe I was still over charged. I got my refund for the 18% tip I had added but with a lot of attitude and rudeness. Beware! Anybody with a big party they overcharge on the tip!! Hope the owner knows what is going on. I’m ...

Went here a few weeks ago and can't get the experience out of my mind. We walked in and were immediately greeted by rolling eyes. We were seated and the waitress took our orders for drinks, and never came back. Another waitress came and took our food order and we asked where our drinks were. After about 25 minutes our food arrived. Had to remind them about our drinks again. Finally got them. I ordered the plate that had a little bit of everything, and the seasoning on the beef was very good, like an authentic Mexican flavor (my favorite), but everything else was trash. The food was cold, like it had been sitting out for 15 minutes. The waitress was very dismissive, and only the person at the register was cordial. This was the absolute worst experience at any restaurant I've ever had. I've never gone out of my way to dissuade people from eating somewhere, but this was just the worst place...
