Starbucks — Restaurant in Angels Camp

All us city slickers need their Starbucks when we're coming back down the hill from the forest. We get it... we aren't millennials, we are tourists, and we suck, therefore we deserve your scowling millennial face. But we did pay good money for our chai latte and an americano, both so simple and ubiquitous that the barista shouldn't even have a chance to mess them up. But indeed, we received an americano with a bit too much water, and a chai with 1 pump instead of the customary 3-ish and about as much foam as tea, which altogether barely reached 2/3 of the cup. The barista's solution was to add half a cup of steamed skim milk. Oh but the cashier did let me try one pump of the new cascara syrup, so I guess that makes up for it. Starbucks is so meta it now offers a coffee flavored syrup that they put in the coffee!...

Although I've frequented the Angels Camp location in the last three months or so, I must say, the drive through service I received on 2/7/21 was not well. The drinks were off, bitter and wattery. We were told the store was out of whipped cream, so no Pupachino and barely any on our drinks (Decaf Carmel Fraps). When we drove round for a refund and return drinks, we were told to keep them. The gal put the money back on my card and when my son tried to explain what he was told at the drive through the first time, she quickly dismissed him. Never did i/we get asked if she could make our drinks again, nor were we consoled. I'm not saying we need that, I'm saying that is usually Starbucks way. They always want you to love...

Ordered a blonde roast with steam heavy cream, was out so they did a pour over which I didn't mind I was expecting to wait when the coffee was done a elder gentleman asked if that was his coffee the server said yes without even looking at the name on the cup, so she gave it away, I sat down next to the gentleman and saw my name and blonde on the cup so I asked him how did he liked his coffee, he said it was great decaf I then had to tell him that it was the blonde roast with cream, he told me he was sorry but I told him no worries, him and I just chatted about what happened, so I had to tell the server what she done and had to wait for another pour over. frustration when someone doesn't...
