My original opinion of this place has been changed. My husband and I dined I a couple of months ago and the food and service were great. However, last night, I made an online order and the experience was completely horrible.
I ordered 3 pizzas. And spent a little over $50. The website said I would receive a text notification once my order was received. I waited about 10 minutes before leave home but it takes me about 20 minutes to get to town so I left and started heading to the restaurant. By time I got to town still no text so I stopped at a grocery store to get some things I needed. Still no text by time I finished. I thought maybe I just wasn’t getting a text so headed to the restaurant. I sent my daughter in the check. Because by this time it had been an hour from the time I ordered a paid for my pizzas.
About 10 minutes after my daughter going in I received the text saying my order was received. My daughter told me she was greeted when she walked in and she told them what she was there for. The person who greeted her (and the only person who has offered an apology) asked a young boy if he had received any online orders, his reply was that he hadn’t checked. So the order was finally put in after some argument about there actually being an order between the waitstaff and the kitchen. Then when they finished they gave my daughter only two pizzas instead of three. She notified them that there should be three where once again there was some sort of argument over. We finally got our pizzas and headed home.
Upon arriving home we noticed our pizzas were wrong. One was supposed to be cheese, and two with pepperoni and pineapple. Well I got the pepperoni but no pineapple on either. I paid extra for the extra topping, I usually don’t complain but this was too much.
I called the restaurant to make the aware of what happened. I spoke with someone who was polite and told me she would get her manager. I heard her explain to her manager what I had explained to her. She came back to the phone and asked to take my name and number and the manager would call me back.
I have not received a call back. O think I put up with more than what most people do and wasn’t really expecting anything but some sort of Acknowledgement or explanation. But nothing. If this is how a customer with a concern is treated, I will not be returning my business here. And would like to add they were not busy. Read moreThis was my first visit to The Crust, Friday evening October 25th. First, the pizza is good. The service, however was so off I am not sure how to justify how bad it was. It almost seemed like no one wanted to be there. We were the only table at 7 pm. It was a birthday dinner and we came in with balloons for a 9 year old. Just 6 people. Was seated and that was the best part. Server was slow to take our drink order and then the drinks were brought to the table gradually one at a time. And when I say one at a time, there was so much time between each drink we had to check and make sure the server was still around. One drink was sent back and re- made before I had to question when we those that ordered beer may see the beer we ordered. Not sure why it took so long to pour a beer. A woman, I can only assume was the manager gave me a flippant answer when I questioned the beer. Then they were out of one beer and gave a Budweiser zero in lieu of a real Budweiser. Me: YES! 😃 Them: Is it going to be cash or credit? Me: uuuuuh....credit? Them: ok, can you enter your credit card? Me: uuuuh....ok...lol Them: what do you want to drink? Me: oh, do we just order and pay up front? Them: yes! So, that wasn't a big deal, just confusing because we had never been there and they knew that and didn't explain what was going to happen. Ordered 2 pizzas, 2 draft beers, and a "Selena skinny margarita " The pizza was greasy and black on the bottom...which was ok because the taste was great! We didn't receive our drinks and had to go to the bar and pick them up ourselves........my Selena drink was orange! lol, the bartender came over and explained that she was out of purple.
