The museum is currently under renovation when we visited on 5/13/22 which is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5, but they had 1 room of artifacts open and the walls were filled with posters and pictures of the history of Brazoria. It was all fascinating to learn the history. But what was particularly interesting were the stories of how African Americans were subjected to work on plantations and also how they were punished if they did not do as the plantation owners asked them to do.
