Today, we had a fantastic lunch at Acapulco Mexican Grill in Angola, Indiana. The weather was perfect for dining outside, and the vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant added to our enjoyment.Rex, the owner of Vacation Pontoon Rental, took us out for this delightful meal. The team, including Rick, Mitch, and myself, gathered around a table filled with a variety of delicious Mexican dishes.I opted for the burrito, which was packed with flavorful beef and topped with melted cheese. Rick enjoyed the Acapulco burrito, a house specialty that did not disappoint. Rex savored the chicken fajitas, which were sizzling hot and bursting with grilled vegetables and tender chicken. Mitch had the arroz con pollo, a hearty mix of chicken, rice, and cheese that was equally satisfying. We were all impressed with the quality of the food and the friendly service. The refried beans, guacamole, and fresh pico de gallo complemented our meals perfectly. It was a great opportunity to relax, enjoy good food, and share some laughs together.Thank you, Rex, for treating us to such a wonderful lunch. Read moreI will start with the one positive... everyone in our group had a great tasting meal. Sadly thats where the positives end. Service not so good. Took our order and left then forgot what was ordered and had to come back out to check a meal. They forgot sides that menu clearly said came with the meal then when mentioned, brought wrong side out. Asked another waitress if she could get our waiter and instead she brings napkins. On the patio a birds next had fell from the roof and was sitting on a chair at the table beside us. Also dirty diahes sat on another table on a tray from when we walked in to when we left. To top it off, found a large bug in the bottom of our chip bowl of course after we ate most of them. Showed the waiter and he took the bugour of the bowl, staired at it for awhile then said yup its a fly. It wasnt a fly but even worse nothing was done. No discount or offer to make it a better experience. We are not complainers and just paid our bill and left but...
Read moreFood was ok. Biggest complaint on the food was that there was not enough meat for it to be a dinner entree. I got steak fajitas and my husband got some kind of chicken burrito. The service was terrible. I don't know if our server was new or what but I got the distinct feeling he forgot about us. We waited about 40 minutes for our food. I thought that was pretty long for a Mexican restaurant but they were kind of busy. The tables to our right had people eating before we were seated. They finished their meal, were replaced by new customers, who then ordered their food and drinks, and got their plates at the same time as us. Our drinks were never refilled! And they were mostly empty when they brought food out because we had been eating chips/salsa, in which case chips were all gone and he did not refill those either. Very disappointed. Don't know that we will go back. May give them one more shot but not really wanting...
