When we arrived for our first visit we asked if they allow dogs on the patio, and were told yes. Our server brought out a container of water, and offered to get our dog a "pup cup". Five stars for pup treatment! I recommend a gate to your patio for easier access if you intend to continue allowing patio pets. Love that we could bring her along. We had the lobster bisque and wings. We loved the bisque. Everyone has their own taste and ours is "home cooked is fine" not "high end foodie". We can't stop talking about the bisque. The square bowl was a bit problematic when it came to getting the last bits of soup with a round spoon. Nice presentation, but not completely functional. The wings were slightly over cooked, it happens. I agree with another reviewer that what we had was a standard wing, not jumbo as listed on the menu. I realize this could be a supplier issue. Loved the coupon for 2 donuts on the bottom of the receipt. Might consider stretching the expiration to 48 hours from issue of receipt instead of 24. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and will be back. Would love to see you bring broasted chicken back to...
Read moreI’ve known Todd for years and he’s been a true and genuine friend and he’s a perfectionist in everything he does. I’m super picky when it comes to fish and I can say the cod dinner was the best, thickest and juiciest cod (and super flavourful) I have ever sank my teeth in. The coleslaw is nice and creamy and tasty. The tartar sauce is just so “Willy wonka” delicious and sweet !! I also get a side of cottage cheese too and it’s dynamite. The service is fast for a casual sit-down eatery, so kick-back-on-the-lake type-of-restaurant where you have time to catch up with friends and build those lake life traditions. If you want fast food with no flavor, there are other places to go. Servers were super nice and friendly and attentive to customer needs. I can’t say enough good things about this fine place. Now I have a good place to eat right down the road. If you are lucky you may get to talk with Tom, Todd’s father who started the donut shop - they both are legends and genuinely...
Read moreThe restaurant, despite its recent opening on May 25, 2024, maintains a pleasant ambiance. While the staff may be relatively new to the restaurant service, they are prompt in their duties. The kitchen staff, in particular, was quick to assist me when I arrived to pick up my order, although the bar staff could have been more attentive. My order consisted of a three-piece cod dinner served with homemade chips and coleslaw. I also ordered 8 Traditional Wings without any sauce, a basket of homemade chips, and a serving of lobster bisque. The first thing I noticed after opening my carry-out bag was that the wings had no chips. I did sample the chips from the cod dinner. The chips did not have seasoning. The wings are not soaked in brine, so they lack flavor. The wing size is standard; I would not call them jumbo. The fish breading has a nice flavor and is fried just right; the portion is much larger than in most places. The lobster bisque is okay—a small...
