I would give no stars if I could. The mango got the star. Not this restaurant. I just got off of the phone with the shift lead at 4:02p on 8/16/23, who is currently working. I ordered two mango smoothies. I ordered them through the Tropical Smoothie App. I am a first time customer to this location. I spoke with the shift leas who told me that she was in charge. I expressed to her my concerns and dissatisfaction for not receiving straws for my order. I told her when one decides to order from an establishment such as this quite naturally you should expect to receive straws, after all it is a smoothie business. Especially if you ordered using delivery like I did. Nothing upsets a customer more than ordering food from a restaurant and not having utensils, napkins, straws or condiments or the requested meal you decided to order. Well, I’m this case I was not left being satisfied as a consumer. After speaking to the shift lead she said what do you want me to do? I responded please send me some straws, appease or appeal to me by giving me a reason to want to shop at or buy from this location again. I suggested, a free smoothie on my next visit no matter the size, give me two flavored straws if you do not have regular straws, something…I was nice enough to not ask for a refund. I said if you valued me as a customer please give me a reason to return with my business for this establishment. She was very rude, inconsiderate, incompetent, nonchalant and horrible at her job. Her attitude was as trash. Why ask what do I want you to do and I tell you and you completely ignore me and act and treat me as if I didn’t matter as a customer who just ordered a delivery of two smoothies but received no straws. I do not feel that my expectations were not feasible. She could have very well took down my name and number apologized and rectified the situation by offering me something. She gave me nothing and asking what do you want me to do should not have been treated like a rhetorical question.
If you’re in the position to problem solve do it do not be incompetent with your position. I told her I am not in the business of leaving bad reviews and she said well I don’t have time to be on the phone with you we are getting very busy and have a good day.
Moral of this story is… the customer on the phone is just as important as customers that are walking in and the fact that I told her if you consider me a valuable customer then give me a reason to return to this restaurant with my money and business. She treated me as if I said nothing important to her and hastily/unprofessionally told me how I am not worth her time.
If I was the owner of this store I would be very upset at how she treats and mishandles customers that she doesn’t deem worthy of her time to solve an issue. It is safe to say so will not be ordering from this location ever again. I will stick with...
Read moreHorrible service...employees do not take their jobs seriously and it shows. When I called to place my order, the phone rang so much I almost hung up. Maybe ten rings. Then when someone did finally answer, I was greeted with, "hello?" At first I was concerned I had dialed the wrong number. I responded with "hello" and he said "Tropical Smoothie" so I said I wanted to make an order to pick up. He said "Okay, one minute...(pause) I'm chewing on something so let me pass the phone over." The phone goes to another gentleman and I hear him in the background say "she wants to place a pick up order just say hi" so he says hello and then puts me on hold as he takes someone else's order. I hear him collect money from the customer before taking my order. Then I tell him my smoothie order...no sugar, add kale, Vitamin B, and Vitamin C. He repeated it back to me and it sounded like they were going to pull it together. Well, when I went to pick up my order, there was pink syrup all over the cup (I had to wipe it off because it was dripping everywhere) and there were at least eight employees behind the counter, with only one taking orders. He went into the fridge to retrieve the smoothie and since nothing was written on the cup, he asked the other workers what was in it. They told him the name of the smoothie I ordered. He assumed that was it, but no one ever asked for my name so I'm not even sure if they knew it was mine. Anyway, I paid significantly more for it since I had extra items but I am absolutely positive nothing was added and the sugar was not removed as I had requested. I know this because I make the same exact order every time. My previous smoothies looked and tasted completely different than the one today. I couldn't even finish it. This is not the first time I have ordered from Tropical Smoothie but it certainly is my last. I didn't even bother calling and complaining because those kids behind the counter wouldn't have cared...and who knows what they would have done if they'd re-made the smoothie. Not worth the time or money. I understand this a new location but the staff is completely untrained and were even talking about guns behind the counter...what their friends had and where they got them. Another customer overheard and tried to make small talk by saying "I hate guns..." but at that point I just walked...
Read moreI absolutely love Tropical Smoothie Cafe, but this one location is so poorly managed that it’s not worth coming here. I’ve had SO many bad experiences. However, I keep coming back because I figure it was that one employee or that one weird situation.
One of the times I was second in line. The person in front of me knew one of the employees. They literally stood there chatting for 10+ minutes while I patiently waited in line to order. I was hoping for a quick trip to TSC for my lunch break, but this ended up making me late getting back and I had to eat while working.
Another time, my company ordered smoothies from this location to be delivered as a reward for our hard work. They showed up 3 hours late!
However, this last time was the final straw. We ordered the southwest wrap and the smoky grilled cheese. The lady handed us our food and attempted to tell us something over the sound of the blenders about them being out of a tomato ingredient, so she did something to make up for it. We assumed it was just missing that one ingredient. We didn’t notice until after we were a few bites in, that she just gave us the cheaper plain grilled cheese instead, while still charging us for the more expensive option. On top of that she gave me a still FROZEN southwest wrap! The outside was warm but the chicken was still frozen solid in the middle!! I told her and she reheated it for me.
We didn’t get any sort of coupon or discount or money back for not receiving the items we paid for and/or for receiving a still frozen chicken wrap. Very disappointed in this location after giving them at LEAST three chances. I love TSC, but I will not be returning to...
