Nick,
Stop texting my wife. Stop the harassment. Stop the racist comments. Continuing this behavior is unacceptable and could seriously harm your business and reputation.
Here are the facts: Tipping — You told us the $65 charge included everything and no tip was required. We followed your instructions. Later insulting a customer for doing exactly what you said is unprofessional. Tipping is a voluntary bonus for good service, not a demand. Misrepresenting this demonstrates a fundamental failure to understand customer service. Harassment — Contacting a customer privately after a review is harassment. Any response to criticism must be professional and public. Personal attacks are completely unacceptable and could have legal consequences if they continue. Racism — Comments about my wife’s or my ethnicity are discriminatory and intolerable. Bringing race or ethnicity into a customer interaction is unethical and unprofessional. Service failure — The review reflects a deeply disappointing haircut. My wife had just given birth and requested her hair to be dried to avoid getting sick. Refusing this simple request is unprofessional and unacceptable treatment of any customer, particularly a new mother.
We trusted your service for two years. This behavior is intolerable. You are formally warned: do not contact my wife again under any...
Read moreI’ve been a regular at Nick’s studio for two years, from his old location at Arbor Hills Plaza to the current one. Unfortunately, the experience has gotten worse each time, and after my most recent visit, I’ve decided not to return.
Nick was noticeably impatient throughout the appointment. He started sweeping hair around my feet before the haircut was even finished, clearly trying to rush me out. I asked him to properly dry my hair afterward — especially important as I had just given birth and didn’t want to leave with wet hair — but he only blew it for about 10 seconds as a formality.
During the session, I asked for help multiple times, but he refused, citing another client’s upcoming appointment — even though there were still at least 25 minutes left in my scheduled time.
At checkout, he refused my credit card and insisted on debit card, cash, or Zelle. He even openly said it helps him avoid some taxes. While I can understand personal preferences, customers should be informed in advance — especially when payment methods are changed without notice.
These signs of poor service had been building for a while, and I’m truly disappointed. I won’t be coming back. For a $65 haircut (without any styling or treatment), I believe customers deserve to be treated with more respect...
Read moreI had a great appointment with Nick today and I am very happy with the results. I had Japanese Straightening done & I have a ton of coarse very curly hair. He did an amazing job and was extremely attentive & took his time to make sure everything was done perfectly. He had to deal with a lot of tangles and he did so expertly being careful to avoid breakage in the process. He was also just such a nice person and I found the whole experience to be so relaxing that I even fell asleep while he was flat ironing! I know that my hair is always going to require several hours, probably a minimum of 5 hours because of the length & texture, whenever I get any type of long lasting treatment, so I was definitely prepared to spend the day with Nick. He got me from frizzy, curly & coarse to smooth, sleek and shiny in just under 6 hrs and it will last me for 6-8 months before I need a touch up, so I consider it time well spent! He was a very nice person & extremely professional. I would recommend him to anyone seeking this type of service. There are people closer that offer this, but the 2 hour drive was worth every...
