5/9/21 - UPDATE: It's Mother's Day again, and once again I'm picking up my wife's favorite breakfast at Whataburger in Anna. I wish I could say it has improved, but I'm even more disappointed. My order was wrong again and, despite using the app to order for pickup, I still waited more than 20 minutes past the latest pickup time to receive my incorrect order. During that time I watched a group walk into the store and receive their orders and multiple vehicles arrive and pass completely through the drive through. I'm updating my review to two stars because the food still tastes good despite not being what we ordered. I may just drive down to McKinney next year. It'll take the same amount of time and maybe the order will be correct. My wife loves Whataburger breakfast, so I went out to pick some up for her on Mother's Day. It was very busy and I was asked to wait in front of the building for my food to be brought out. I waited 20 minutes, decided to call and check to see if they forgot about me, at which point my food was immediately brought out. Unfortunately, when I got home I realized the order was incomplete. I called the store, spoke with the same person that brought me my food, and he offered to remake the entire order for me during a future visit. These are weird times and I'm sure it's difficult managing orders under these circumstances. My order took much longer than I would have expected and was missing items when I received it, but these guys are trying to make it right. They even threw in an apple pie thing as an apology for the long wait. I respect the effort.

Where do I even start? I placed a "to-go" order at the counter. The young lady couldn’t formulate a coherent sentence. I had to repeat myself slowly and multiple times. I waited about 15 minutes or so for my food. While I was waiting, five employees and one manager were huddled together, talking very loudly about firing an employee this past Saturday. They were all cussing and laughing—including the manager, named (Emily Shelton)—about this former employee. When my name was called, I grabbed my bag of food only to find cold fries. I asked for the manager, and the same lady mentioned above came out. She asked how she could help. I said, "Two things: touch those fries and tell me if you’d feed them to your family. Second, it’s absolutely inappropriate and disrespectful to have those kinds of conversations where customers can hear them. There are six of you standing there, and we get cold fries. If you have time to talk like that, you have time to make warm food. You need to hold each other to a higher standard—this is absolutely unacceptable." The manager asked if I’d like new fries, and I said yes. She took my fries, went behind the wall, and told her peers she was about to put her right foot up my ass. I heard that and told her to just refund my money. Well, Emily, the joke’s on you. You’re unfit as a manager, and you can’t even manage to count money correctly. You shorted me on my refund, but you can keep it. You’ll need it once you’re fired from this store soon.

First let me state that I love Whataburger but every time I go to the Anna location when using the mobile app, I always get home with something missing on my order.........EVERY TIME!!!! I am seriously starting to question the public school system in Anna and if they are teaching people how to read. For the love of all that is holy, reading is fundamental!!! BTW, McDonalds said thank you for the business as I went there and bought fries that you cant seem to put in the bag. UPDATE 8/15/2021 Whataburger in this location started to get better and then of course they slid back to their old ways. THIS LOCATION IS AN EPIC TRAIN WRECK!! Not only did they forget my fries AGAIN, but my cinnamon rolls too. McDonalds said thank you again for giving them business for every time you guys mess up. I went ahead and added a photo of my Whataburger hamburger with my McDonalds fries because the folks you have working at this location apparently do not know how to read an order.

I visit whataburger with my children at least once or twice a week. And when I do I spend nearly $50 each time only to have to wait for long periods of time for cold or incorrect orders. But I still return with the benefit of doubt. But after yesterday racial profiling and treatment from a member of management I will not return to the Anna location. First I and my family and a friend were told to pull up to the right lane which vehicles that came after we had were serviced first. After seeing this continue on for nearly 20 minutes almost a gentleman parked in front of us approached the window of the drive thru where there was already a truck waiting while another guy from the car behind us stood in front of that same truck asking why Nobody was servicing the right lane all this time. After another 5 minutes my friend went to the dude door and knocked for assistance and was asked what our order was and the amount and took the money. Only to return with the change but still no good almost another 15 minutes later. By now almost here over half an hour. This is when I got out and approached the door and was unprofessionally greeted and spoken to with the utmost disrespect. We meaning my friend and I tensioned calm asking fir either the food or a refund since taking so long. We were told it doesn’t take a rocket scientist or a smart person to know not to pull to the right lane. She was informed by me we were instructed by the person who had taken the order to pull forward to that lane. And that clearly others were told the same for we weren’t the only vehicles awaiting in the right lane. She then rudely said you are causing a hazard by standing by the door and your car in the right lane and if we don’t take our “ghetto selves back to the car she would have us removed by the police” Yes she said ghetto. Wow she associated our impatience for the lack of service as ghetto since we are black. Yet didn’t say one thing to the two white guys and white woman who did just the same as we had if not worse. She returned my change incorrect amount. I showed her where it was not all the money I had given. She just as much shoved the change in my hand. And that’s when I lost it. Moving forward we left and went next door to another fast food lane and was serviced in less then two minutes. The police pulled into another parking lot not even adjunct to whataburger and ordered us both to step out of the vehicle and treated rudely again with witness to the staff at both places. And cited to stay off property. If my mind serves correctly one cannot be banded if not seen by the police at the time if the arrival on their property. I had to explain to my two minor children in the car with us that thus wasn’t the first nor will it be the last racial profiling they will encounter and it saddens me. This was Jan 25 th at 445-530 pm The tall Anglo Saxon woman with shaved sides and short hair cut and badly built. I wanna know what will do with the...

I am honestly usually a very patient person and it takes me a lot to want to go write a review because I usually just understand people make mistakes. However this is literally the worst establishment I have ever been to with any company. I had an experience on Sunday and wasn’t going to write a review even though I had to wait outside 20 minutes after the time that I was told my order would be ready. Then today I decided to go through the drive thru so that I could avoid that mess and just get my food. I just ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with an extra filet and the sauce on the side, which I thought was very simple. They took forever to bring my food out and when they finally did they gave me a crispy chicken sandwich (should’ve been grilled), no extra filet, and sauce on the sandwich. So then I had to wave at the worker to come back to let them know they got it completely wrong. So I gave her the receipt and she went back in. Then she came back and said that they wanted to take the wrong sandwich back, which I had already opened and touched. Why on earth would they want it back when they can’t use it and it’ll have to go into the trash anyway?!? The least they could do is let me keep it for wasting my time and getting my order wrong. Then they brought my food out again with a grilled sandwich but no extra filet and sauce on my sandwich AGAIN! So I had to wave them down again after it already being over 30 minutes of me being parked to the side waiting for my food. At that point I asked if there is anything they could do for wasting so much of my time like maybe giving me my meal for free or a gift card or something and they just gave me a small pie which I did not want. So then they finally bring out the extra filet and the sauce is still on my sandwich but I’m just ready to leave after being there for over 45 minutes. I literally don’t understand how they could get my simple order so wrong, take back my already opened sandwich for no reason, and still offer me no compensation for lost time and the extreme inconvenience. Just terrible service. I really would expect more from Whataburger. This location is a...

Constant problems with this location.

Previous example: Paid extra for bacon on my burger, received no bacon. Notified them, they responded apologizing but did not offer any form of compensation.

Latest example (and visit prompting me to write this review): I placed an online order for curbside pickup on 10/20/24. The website said my order would be ready between 5:12-5:15pm. I parked at 5:10pm and waited, and waited, and waited. At 5:20, an employee comes out to tell me the soda machine isn't working, and we had to choose between tea or lemonade. Bummed out but what can you do? Then, I continue to wait...

Then, 10 minutes after the estimated time had lapsed, the employee came back out with my food. I ask them if the bbq sauce and ranch are in the bag, because we paid extra for them. She said yes. I check the bag...the sauces we paid for are not there, the french fries for both of our value meals are not there, the large onion rings we ordered are not there, miraculously, our kid's meal is somehow correct.

I tell the employee, and they take the bag back inside. Again, I sit and wait...and wait, and wait. Finally, at 5:35pm 20 minutes past the estimated time our food should have been ready, they come back out with our complete order. At this point the burgers are ice cold, the drinks are watered down from the ice melting, the new fries are already cold, our kid's entire meal is cold, and the onion rings are the only thing remotely warm.

I'm pretty upset about the whole thing. I get home and my wife and kid are upset too because we should have had dinner nearly half an hour earlier and everyone is very hungry. Everything was cold and dry including the blaze burger with "extra" sauce on it.

Every time we give Whataburger another chance, they remind me why I shouldn't go there: from their inability to get orders right, their ridiculous wait times, and them charging for ONE dipping sauce for things like onion rings etc., just pick another fast food chain and...
