Pretty horrible experience, for my birthday. I was upcharged for a medium room then given Small one. The staff is down right mean and unnecessarily rude when trying to order. we ordered 3 drinks between 10 to 17$ it still added up to be 95$. When we argued about the price not matching up the card she said « our price have raised as of tonight to match up the Inflation ». So we decided to cancel part of our order and not get the bottle of soju, which she responded with « oh I already charged your card then I need to make a refund » You have to know that even though it is not mentioned anywhere in their establishment there is a 20% gratuity added to anything and even the room.
My friend paid cash to get the same drink I did, not only did she gave us a completely messed with drink (it was a completely different color and pretty sure it was done in purpose after we argued our precious receipt) but she kept a part of the change and said « we round up for the house ». We argued about the drink being wrong as for keeping part of the change that’s another level of theft. When seing the conversation was leading nowhere I decided to return to my room to enjoy the few time we had left, as she was still aggressively yelling behind me « if there is anything else let me know ». Honnestly our friends kept making a case of leaving this place the entire time, but we already had it rented out and it was pretty late, didn’t want to spend my birthday night looking for a place to spend it last minute. We tried hard to ignore what happened to enjoy the few nice songs we could.
The manager apologized, even though it didn’t feel like he actually run this place. The messed up drink wasn’t replaced and still paid for the bill remained the same, the change she kept wasn’t returned back, and the room upcharge not corrected. The manager did offer to give us « a couples of hours for free the next time we come » I would have preferred our receipt corrected.
I just want to warn people, before their night get ruined...
Read moreThe attitudes of the employees are dumpster fire, and the billing/pricing system is definitely unethical. Manager seems to be a good person, as he apologized for our bad experience, so if you have issues, please speak with him.
We started off the night with trying to buy drinks, which we noticed were different on our bills than the menu. When we asked why, Jessica told us that they had just adjusted for inflation that night. When we said that their menus needed to be marked accordingly, she just rudely dismissed us to go online to look for the drink menu. We immediately tried to return a bottle and get a refund, and that's when they rolled their eyes at us and muttered to each other loudly. 20% gratuity WILL be included for this wonderful customer service. Later, we actually tried to pay in cash for another drink (still gotta pay that gratituity), they gave us the wrong change back, and when we asked for the right amount, they gave us less saying "we round up for the house." Drinks aren't made with any measurements at all in the back, so don't expect drinks to look or taste the same. Also, don't ask them any questions because they will say "let us know if you have any problems again," in a very passive-aggressive manner. I'm honestly not sure if they told us that small rooms were all taken and led us to a medium room that was actually a small room, since that room was small for our group of 4 regular sized people, and then charged us for the medium room. We did a walk-in during holiday season, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt... surely?
If you plan on not getting money stolen from under your nose with 3x-4x priced drinks with mandatory gratuity and then also getting ironically terrible drink service, the English music selection is very good. Maybe to save time, figure out what songs you might want to sing before going.
BTW the pics are the same drink, and in the second pic you can actually see the old drink in...
Read moreDon’t know what happened to this place in the last couple of months but the service and staff have plummeted badly. I reserved a room for my bday celebration and we were running late from dinner. I called in out of courtesy to let the Glam staff know I’m running late and asked if they could hold my room for a few more min. We were on the way. The employee who answered was pretty curt, told me we should be fine if we’re running late but never told us about dropping our reservations if we’re 25 min late. She never even asked for my name or what time my reservation was. So my group and I arrive to check in and employee at the front desk rudely tells me she dropped my reservation since we’re 25 min late and gave my room to another group. I kindly explain that i called in earlier to double check and prevent THIS EXACT ISSUE but rude employee answers, “well no one said anything to us so your room is gone. We have an event tonight so it happens” as if the lack of communication between THEIR TEAM was MY fault and MY problem. Employee had an overall condescending attitude, no apology was given. I reserved my room ONE MONTH in advanced and so regardless of the busy Chinese New Year night, I shouldve been first priority. I was so speechless I didn’t argue or call out her unprofessional behavior and just left to go to a close karaoke bar, “Kpop Karaoke.” Safe to say I’ll never go back to Glam. Kpop karaoke was much more accommodating and rates are way cheaper. Based on other reviews on here, this kind of stuff happens often. Skip this spot if you don’t want your...
