My family has been a customer to Hong Kong Express for many years, and we had been very satisfied, but that has ended. Several months ago, apparently the owner decided to save money by reducing portion sizes. The "large" plastic dish at HKE became 80% the capacity of the original dish (2 cups vs 2-1/2) and the servings left abundant space in the top of the container, while previously they were stuffed full. Dishes that include sauce have only minimal sauce and, as a result, they are not as tasty. My wife and I had been able to get two enjoyable meals from a purchase, but that is no longer feasible.
I live about 5 minutes away from the store but tonight, the rice had cooled off too much to eat without reheating. The egg rolls were drenched in grease, so much remaining in the wrapper that the paper napkin I used to soak up the excess became wetted with cooking oil. I estimate at least a teaspoon of oil came off the egg roll and plenty remained. The egg roll tasted greasy.
The prices have remained the same as before, but the quantity and quality has dropped so much that I am a sorely dissatisfied ex-customer. I will not return to Hong Kong Express in...

We have been going for many years and have never been disappointed! The moment you walk in you get friendly customer service with a smile. The ordering process is easy, and you can even order online or in the Beyond Menu app for fast and super friendly home delivery.
All of the items on their menu are outstanding. They are prepared fresh and with wonderful flavor. Their eggrolls and springrolls are outstanding - and pair terrifically with any of their soups - but our favorite is egg drop soup.
We are fans of all of their entrees - but our faves are the hot crispy beef, cabbage delight, General Tso's, orange chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. Plus, they will accommodate your tastes however you like.
We have tried other places in the past - none come even a little bit close to the overall quality, flavor, value, and customer service from Hong Kong Express.

Read moreIt’s unfortunate that I have to write this. But after several years of take out from this joint, I’m finding another. The quality of food has gone down. They messed up my order; no noodles in chow mein? When I look online chow mein actually has noodles. Wait doesn’t mein mean noodles? Because in Korean myun means noodles… it’s quite coincidental that myun and mein sound alike. Wait what’s noodle in Japanese? Ramen? Hmm… interesting. So many shared vocab… but I digress. Just know that people make mistakes. This wasn’t the first time from this place. But when you get burned too many times you gotta stop creeping towards the fire. Unfortunately we threw out the “chow mein” which was quite bland; also sans noodle. From 4 stars down to 2 stars. :*{
Edit: I did a little research, and it seems like chow mein in the east coast is a vegetable goop thing (not that tasty). So I’ll adjust the rating to 3 stars. I would NOT recommend the chow mein; stick with orange chicken and...
