I've had sandwiches at eastport kitchen that while pricey have been amazing. The last time I went it was an overpriced and underwhelming experience. I ordered a breakfast burrito and a beer off the chalkboard. The price written for the beer on the chalkboard was $6 and rung up as $7. I asked why it rang up as more and they said the chalkboard had the wrong price but didn't offer to change it to match. After the transaction the teller machine asked for a tip (and suggested normal wait staff % options) which I gave, but the service here is simply food delivery to table, no table side wait staff service. You manage all ordering and refills yourself. When I received my $11.25 burrito it was very small and mostly egg. This is smaller than a soda can and hardly had any chorizo inside. Burritos from other options in the area are much larger, use better proportions of ingredients, and are cheaper. Very disappointed.

I’ve heard good things, but my experience with takeout on a Sunday morning was not good. Spent $90 dollars and when I opened the bag I was embarrassed to give the avacado toast to the person who ordered it. Egg whites were still clear on my chicken sandwich.. avacado toast was embarrassing, florentine toast looked about the same. The binky had all the Turkey balled up in the middle of the bread. No one would ever make themselves a sandwich that looked so unbalanced as far as the ingredient distribution. I’d maybe go back and give it a dine-in experience… but I’m not going out of my way to try again. Disappointed.

My girlfriend and I were excited to try this place and have it be the first neighborhood restaurant we ordered from since our move-in this past week. I am a little confused at all the overwhelmingly positive reviews, but I guess the takeout experience is just completely different from actually sitting in the restaurant. Needless to say, our experience significantly differed from what seems to be the norm.

The food was, to say the very least, barely edible. We ordered a burger, sandwich, and two orders of fries. I ordered the burger to be "Well Done", and this was appropriately reflected in the receipt, but upon biting into the burger, it was barely "medium". Even a minute in the microwave wasn't enough to fully cook the burger, so I'm not sure how the chef messed up that bad. Additionally, the rest of the burger's bread (served on sourdough) was completely soaked in grease and sauce to the point where it was impossible to actually pick up and eat as one normally does a burger. I had to eat the thing with a knife and fork.

My girlfriend had a similar experience with her sandwich. There was so much sauce and grease and moisture in the sandwich that it had completely soaked the outside wrapper, and was additionally impossible to pickup and eat. She had to pick off the little turkey that was on there and then had to move onto last night's leftovers because the soaked-through bread just wasn't worth eating.

All in all, we are extremely disappointed with the quality of the product that we purchased, and are so put-off by the takeout experience that we cannot bring it upon ourselves to, at some point, try the indoor dining experience that everyone seems to enjoy. Additionally (and obviously), we will not be ordering from this...

This is a local favorite. Their menu changes monthly as they offer locally sourced vegetables and seafood for farm to table entrees and starters that you cannot get just anywhere. Their dishes are creative and tasty and do not burn through your budget. They do have a Sandwich and Burger menu that stays the same and serve breakfast until dinner time. Speaking of their breakfast, their pancakes are fluffy and tasty and the pancake breakfast costs under $7. They have a breakfast bowls that are filling and one features quinoa. I look forward to seeing the daily Kitchenade special as it features a fresh fruit and or juice.....there is an adult version of the kitchenade that adds a bit of pinot grigio to give it nice flavoring. My only bad experience there was when I ordered a Mimosa that khad less than an ounce total liquid in the glass. The server made a comment that let me know she was opposed to drinking alcohol. I let it go and returned another time to order a Mimosa and it was an appropriate serving size and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. They accommodate special dietary needs with a smile. The chef served me well when a fish that I ordered was accompanied by sides that I am allergic to. He added the vegetable of the day as well as a potato dish to balance out my entree. Definitely a nice off the beaten track restaurant to experience. It is where the locals go and yes, the owner walks about talking to customers and he...

I've been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and had different experiences. First, the prices are generally great, they really deliver on value without making it about volume of food. The ordering experience and staff attention varies depending on the time of day--for dinner, they have more typical table service and it's a great flow. For breakfast and lunch, they operate as a counter service, more like a fast food restaurant. There's not much service once you leave the register and you generally have to get up and go find what you want, because the staff won't check in on you. The lunch and dinner options have all been great, I had a fantastic southwest chicken sandwich thing--variations on a sandwich might be the sweet spot here, and the fries are awesome. When I've been for breakfast, the pancakes were pretty awful and boring, eggs not cooked to order, generally uninspiring experience if not totally bad. Worth a visit if you're local or have a group that...
