Oscar's Coffee — Restaurant in Annapolis

Great small business. Really cool location on the water. Very friendly staff and dog friendly. Very good coffee too. So, why the 3 star rating?

We visited on a Sunday and there was no one in line. We placed an order for 1 iced latte immediately. However, we then stood there waiting patiently for literally 30 minutes before this 1 drink was made.

At first my wife and I thought the staff forgot to make the order but then we heard other people around us complaining about their wait time. Clearly there is a system flaw that needs to be diagnosed and addressed.

I could be wrong but I think the issue is that the to-go orders are not separate from the orders placed in person. So there might not be anyone in line but just know that there may still be 15 orders ahead of yours. If it is not possible to separate the to-go orders from the orders placed in person then I think staff should let the people in line know what the estimated wait time is to manage expectations. Big fan of this place and will continue to be a customer. Happy to change the rating to 5 stars once the system is improved. Hope the...

You know when you find a staple clothing item that is so "you", it feels like it's always been a part of your wardrobe?

That's what Oscar's feels like. I can't even remember how we got along without it! The baristas are lovely and personable, the coffee is consistently delicious, and they offer little snacks and pup cups for the pooches of Eastport, too.

Instantly and deservedly beloved coffee spot in a gorgeous, eminently-walkable location. The only thing I would change is the hours--would love to stop by for a mid-afternoon...

This is a great concept! It brings neighbors together, from Eastport and beyond. There are lots of people who walk up, but there is plenty of parking too. The coffee is terrific, and the waffles are amazing. They have added bagels now too. The staff folks are so friendly, and the water views from Horn Point Marina, all the way across to Greenbury Point, are just the right kind of relaxing backdrop to enjoy your favorite cuppa Joe.
