Annapolis Maritime Museum and Park had just opened a new wedding venue, the Merrill Family Pavilion on June 1st, 2023. My husband and I have a little bit of a crazy story. On March 23rd, 2023, with months of back and forth about how we were going to celebrate our marriage in addition to financial decisions, we ultimately decided that we wanted to get married very soon, and plan our whole wedding in 10 weeks! It's a little bit of a crazy decision, but from there we started to look for a wedding ceremony and reception venue. We know of the maritime museum being a popular venue spot in Annapolis, we called to see if they somehow had short notice availability for June this year. The museum did not have availability, but they informed us of the new pavilion that was under construction and will be ready by our requested date! That same day, we were able to go see the construction site and make a decision. There was work to be done, but it was magnificent. The pavilion has waterfront views with sailboats, truly giving an Annapolis charm. That same day we decided to take the chance and have our wedding be at the Maritime Park, and hope construction would finish by our wedding day! It did and our wedding day was more than we could have ever asked for, and was so breathtaking. The Maritime Museum and Park offers the option to add on a Day of Coordinator and we HIGHLY recommend it. Amber was incredible to work with! She was very communicative, detail oriented, decorated the venue, facilitated all vendors throughout the day, and was a huge help throughout the entire day. She was very easy to work with and our wedding day was amazing, and this venue financially is VERY affordable! The fact that we happened to be the pavilion's first ever wedding in our hometown is truly special to my husband and I, and we look back on the day thinking life truly has a funny way with things sometimes. Highly recommend Annapolis Maritime Museum and Park for your...
Read moreWe highly recommend Annapolis Maritime Museum Park Campus for special events. We held our wedding there in late August 2024, and it was truly beautiful and perfect. Our ceremony was by the water, cocktail hour on the brick patio, and reception in the large pavilion. The venue provides a day-of planner, who worked with our coordinator (highly recommend JRowe Event Planning & Design!) to handle setup and breakdown. We hosted over 150 guests, and everything worked out smoothly: parking was sufficient (we had planned for overflow but didn’t need it), and while seating in the pavilion was a bit cozy, placing the dinner buffet on the brick patio freed up space for a great dance floor inside. During the day, the campus blended waterfront views, historic brick, natural beauty, rustic charm, and open green spaces with an enchanting atmosphere. After sunset, it transformed into a romantic, secluded woodland retreat. It was an incredible setting for us, our family and friends, and exactly the vibe we were hoping for.

Read moreThis is a nice little park and a rare public water-access site within Annapolis city limits. There are 2 parking areas connected by a nature trail through the woods. The smaller parking area is near the dock and boat launch ramp, & has just a few spaces. The other parking area is much bigger but further away. There are picnic tables and a water fountain, but no bathrooms, at the boat launch area. If there are bathrooms at the other end of the park, I didn't see them. The boat ramp is non-slip metal, so you won't get muddy launching a kayak here. The park is in the midst of several marinas full of very fancy and impressive yachts & sailboats, and near side creeks lined with beautiful waterfront homes to sight-see. Not much wildlife to see, other than ducks, as this is a very built-up area with a lot of...
