The Crab Barrack — Restaurant in Anniston

Gave one stars because there was not an option for ZERO stars. On Monday,June 18,2024, I took my husband to Crab Barrack in Anniston Al,for a late Father's Day meal. This is where he wanted to go. BIG MISTAKE!

We were finally seated, and there we sat for OVER 15 minutes, and NOBODY ever came to take our order.EVER. I think there were 5 other tables,in addition to us,with one leaving after finishing their meal.

All other tables already had food. With the table across from us being served right as we were seated. We had a front row seat to the waitress DROPPING their bagged meals into the floor,quickly picking them up,laughing about, "At least they are in bags" before serving them to the customers. I was shocked they didn't send them back! Bagged or not,once it hits the dirty floor,you can have it!

So,we sat. And sat. I knew my husband really wanted to eat here,so,I indulged him until I had enough. 10 minutes after the, " I'll be right with you" from the waitress,as we watched her yet again,tend to customers that already had their food and fly off in another direction,I was DONE.

We got up and walked out. I knew we always get EXCELLANT service at Red Lobster in Oxford, so that is where we went. 15 minutes after arriving at Red Lobster,we had drinks,Cheddar Bay Biscuits,ordered, and salads had arrived. We joked with one another that the server at Crab Barrack probably had not realized we were gone!

I know people get busy,but I have never felt so invisible and disrespected in my life! We will NEVER,NEVER...

I went to the restaurant at 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon. I looked at the menu which was handed to me with the lunch menu showing. I reviewed the menu and then I asked for the chicken fingers. I actually pointed to them on the menu but the waitress/manager was standing on the other side of the bar at the register instead of standing in front of me while taking my order. I paid and then I noticed I was charged $13 instead of $10. When I called it out and asked why since the price was $10, I was told that that was the lunch menu and it ends at 3:00 p.m.. given that it was only 1:30 p.m., I pointed that out and I was then told no refunds no exchanges. I was also told that despite it being lunch it is my responsibility to say I want the lunch portion. I have never been to this restaurant nor did I flip the menu over because I found exactly what I was looking for on the first side. I understand the no refund no exchange policy when it is the customer's fault but I do not understand it when it is the thought of not only a waitress but the manager. It would seem to me if you have a strict policy of no refunds and no exchanges, you also bear some responsibility to make sure that you are not making assumptions about which item a customer is ordering if you have two possibilities. I had originally left a 20% tip which equaled $8. The difference and price of the items was $2. Thanks for saving...

The food was great & our waitress was absolutely amazing however, our host, I believe his name was Tareal, was terrible! After lazily dragging his feet to show me our table, he didn’t bother to tell our waitress, Faythe, that he had sat us down at a table in her section. I sat there for 15 minutes before I flagged her down to ask her if she could order our drinks. I know that she could not see us setting in the corner booth that we had chosen so this was definitely NOT her fault at all!! She repeatedly apologized to us. She had no clue we were even there. She did a great job waiting on us so naturally, we made sure to tip her nicely for her amazing service. I noticed our lazy host was setting at the bar on his cell phone for most of our visit while our little waitress was juggling 2 different jobs!! She was running the cash register plus she was going above & beyond waitressing her tables! Several other employees was accompanying him at the bar playing on their phones also while Faythe was busting her rear end!!!! She needs to be rewarded nicely for working so hard & the bar propers need to be FIRED & replaced with employees with the same work ethic the same as Faythe. Otherwise, this restaurant will not remain open for very long!! The food is great but the business will fail due to the current staff out front excluding Faythe. The food was...
