Decided on this place based on the reviews. Have to say that I was VERY disappointed. Best thing here was the Top Shelf Margarita! Let's break it down: Chips & salsa - good. Salsa was flavorful. Chips tasted homemade. Queso - good. Nice flavor. Caribbean Catch - Do NOT order!! I LOVE seafood! Only thing edible was the shrimp. Never did tell me what the talapia replacement was... Said they occasionally change it out, but apparently don't tell anyone. The crab was disgusting! Horrible texture...terrible flavor. The rice was very soggy - and I got the sauce on the side. Vegetables overcooked. Chimichanga - husband said it was good. When the server asked if I wanted a to-go box I said no. She said - you hardly had any of it. I made the mistake of telling her how bad it was. I told her that I didn't want anything else. I was NOT looking for a free meal. I told her that I was concerned that there was something wrong with the crab. Unfortunately, I went to the restroom and was standing in line and overheard her talking to the manager and trash talking me. They ended up taking half the seafood plate price off - and the manager said nothing to us. I've worked in restaurants before. The manager should have come over. And the waitress should NEVER had talked bad about a customer. I'd skip this place.

This was an up-and-down experience. Very clean, stylish Aztec art with hammered and painted copper scenes - loved examining. Waitress was timely, mentally took orders and no mistakes were made. This is NOT authentic Mexican. It is Tex-Mex and Southwestern. The side-ordered rice and beans were served in a plastic cup, the kind you'd use for sauces or pico de gallo. They were awful, very bland. However, the beans that came on my wife's plate with her meal were good. Both needed salt and pepper. We found very little seasoning with all their food. The fajita-style, three-sauce burrito was very good. I added salt and pepper with fried, sliced, fresh jaleoenos. My wife ordered carnitas. What she received was boiled, shreaded and refried pork roast - with no seasoning. Very bland and very disappointing. Do not order. Proper carnitas are cooked in pork fat until the fat is absorbed, making the meat so succulent, you can press the meat with your tongue to the roof of your mouth and it dissolves. For texture, it's refried. What is served here is dry pork roast, not carnitas.

Very friendly environment. Our server was a super nice guy. He stayed on top even though he was by himself and had three other table and on party beside us. Food was all fresh, salsa was a wonderful flavor. I could taste fresh cilantro in the salsa. Cheese dip was good. Dinner was hot, fresh and all had a great flavor. We ordered some drinks and they were good as well. Texas margarita was strong so if you need a quick calm, there ya go! I highly recommend everyone keeping this restaurant around!

I wish I could give them no stars. I called in a order for chicken nachos and the lady didn't understand me. I assume, cause when I got the food home it was def not what I ordered. I took the food back and talked to the manager. He told me it was my fault for not ordering it correctly but said that he would remake it. I asked him if he was gonna give me the difference from what I paid for and what I actually ordered. There was a $10-$15 difference in what I ordered. He told me, that since I made him throw away the incorrect food and remake my original order that we could just be even since I made him waste all that food. If the lady who took my order would have wrote it down right we wouldn't have had that problem anyways. I have never been so disrespected in all my life. I've worked in food service and I wouldn't have ever, even if it was the customers fault have ever treated someone like that. I try my best not to complain cause I know people make mistakes and usually when my food gets messed up I just usually let it be. I ordered plain chicken nachos and they gave me fajita nachos and I can't do onions and bell peppers or i wouldn't have taken it back. I won't be going back there ever again. If you do just be careful that they correctly hear your order right or they will blame you for their mistake. I absolutely loved this place before that run in with the manager. Hopefully he learns in the future to take better care of his customers or he won't have a restaurant to go back to if he keeps treating...
