Dollar General — Local services in Anniston

I love dollar general I shop their more than I shop at Walmart clover valley has very good canned foods at 2/ $1 can't beat it . Good prices on everything. Their store cares enough to have cashier's to check you out. I hate Walmart because after buying groceries I don't want to wrestle the checking a buggy full of stuff out and bagging it. The cashier's are courteous and friendly and always ask if you found everything you needed. And if you didn't find it they'll check to see if any is available in stock. That's the way I like to be treated when I spend my money with them each week. Great prices on toliet paper and paper towels their brands are as good as most any name brand products. Saturdays are very busy at most stores and the 1 st of the month. They're a good place to shop and save on items that's cheaper there...

Last week I encountered a very pleasant cashier, and a person I believe to be some type of manger that was trash talking on her cell phone the entire time I was in the store. Today this same trash talker was still on her phone, even while she Snatched my basket from my hands and refused to sell me the clearance items, as well as the full price items I was attempting to pay for. She proceeded to scream at me and Demanded I leave Her store. There are plenty of other DG's close to this location with very friendly staff. Drive the extra 1/2 mile to shop at...

Cashier was friendly, but 8 people were in line and she was the only one working a register. I put my item down and walked out. Maybe someone helped her after I left, because she was not the only worker present. I will give them the benefit of the doubt. But still 2 stars for my experience on this visit
