Erbert and Gerbert's — Restaurant in Anoka

The prices are way too high for how meager the portions are. To pay almost $20.00 for the soup & sandwich meal, which doesn't include any drink or chips seemed extravagant, but i was famished from working outside all night, and it was payday, so felt less guilty for treating myself to some pretentious, cutesy-poo restaurant food. When i got home and opened up the bag, thought they mistakenly had handled me the wrong order. The soup was in some paper cup not much bigger than a shot glass, and this sandwich i had asked for everything on it, was some horsd'oeuvre (sample?) sized , puny thing with 2 onion strings, no sauce or vinegar, 1 paper thin tomato slice, i nevertheless wolfed it down in 3 nearly tasteless bites. It was smaller than a subway 6" and 3-4× more expensive. I'm not going to go protest or ask for the rest of the sandwich they must have forgotten to put in the bag, but i won't eat there ever again, and will warn anybody else who might think about...

Edible. Nothing more. We were excited to go here because of our fond college memories of late night E&G! Sandwiches were small, definitely more expensive and the customer service...bleh. I don't think I saw one smile. Many things can be forgiven if you are at least kind and hospitable but the crew was just slow and sour faced. The fastest we saw any staff move was to fill and drink from her soda cup. I got the number #5, a buffalo chicken sandwich. It had no discernible buffalo or blue cheese flavor, really no flavor at all, so I asked for some peppers to put on it. I was told there would be a charge for a couple jalepenos? On an $8 sandwich with no flavor? No thanks. Can I at least get a little buffalo sauce for my buffalo chicken sandwich? Success in feeding 30+ employees! Aimee and her team were great to work with and provided us with 8 varieties of tasty sandwiches. After negative experiences at other establishments, a colleague suggested using the Anoka Erbert & Gerbert's instead. I reached out to Aimee via email about ordering a few Colossus boxes and quickly received a reply and an invoice (VERY helpful for payment processing). My order was ready a few minutes early and they even carried the sandwiches to my vehicle for me. I would absolutely recommend this Erbert & Gerbert's location.
