Used to love Kam Wong’s years ago! Ordered Sweet and sour pork & upgraded the soup to hot and sour soup for $1.75 more. The sweet and sour pork had maybe 5 edible pieces the rest were so hard and over cooked. (Break a tooth hard) The soup was the worst hot and sour soup I have ever had!! I exchanged it for the wonton soup that originally comes with the lunch special it was like eating snot (must have been the day before left over soup) YUCK!! The rice is nothing like it used to be. No flavour… it used to be so amazing!! Bring back the old owners they actually know how to make everything so good. Waste of my time and money!! Then she brought out my check and was gonna charge me for the soup that was disgusting & I exchanged … I asked her why.. she seemed mad that I didn’t wanna pay for something that was gross.. that whole meal should have been free!! Never again will I step foot into...
Read moreSimply said, The BEST Around! I love the Szechuan Beef, made spicy. Their Cantonese Chicken Lo Mein is pretty good if you want something flavorful but not "spicy." That said, they can make anything spicy if you ask.
If you are used to those "China Buffets" where the food sits all day in a steam tray and the chicken is processed and they serve jello and other American foods, this place is probably not for you. They do not serve that low quality food that is bond to get you sick. The air does not smell of fish...
Kam Wong's serves the GOOD Stuff! Check them out! If you loved places like, The Bamboo House (Brooklyn Park/Closed) and Tam's Rice Bowl (Fridley/Closed) you will love this place too!
I just wish they delivered. Maybe they do, I guess you'll have to ask.
They do have a small lunch buffet but I have never had it, so I cannot comment on...
Read moreExtremely poor Chinese food. Worst I have ever had.. We wanted to try something new and chose this place. SO sorry we did. The fried rice was dry and had no flavor. It was just rice, some onion and a very tiny amount of egg and pork. The sauce that came with the wontons was watered down with no flavor. Sesame chicken... little tiny bits that were really just over fried pieces of breading and some bigger pieces to cover up the small stuff underneath. I am REALLY, REALLY, REALLY disappointed!!! This is the first time ever in my life that we ordered Chinese food and I am still hungry. We threw most of it in the garbage and I will say that is something I NEVER do. How they have been around since 1985...
