NORTHSTAR LANES — Restaurant in Antigo

I was not pleased at all with my experience. I wanted to take my wife and little boy bowling. What was supposed to be a fun family night turned into a disaster and a nightmare!! We ordered food early on while we bowled. As time went on my son became increasingly tired and crabby. After about half an hour we asked how long the food would take. We were told by one of the women at the counter that they had got some large orders and that our food was being cooked and it would be out soon. We went back to bowling and waited even longer. After a while we went back up to the counter and asked again. This time we were told that our food was not even started yet. Frustrated we asked for a refund to be put back on my credit card as we were sick of waiting and needed to leave at this point. The same woman that said our food had been started told me they could not refund my card. She offered a gift card which would ensure that I have to come back instead of getting my money back like I wanted. Best food and atmosphere in Antigo hands down! My boyfriend and I visited tonight, we are in town for his internship at Volm and we were amazed at the delicious food, kind staff and fun atmosphere!! I didn’t catch our server/bartenders name, I think I heard someone call her Bird, possibly? But she was absolutely incredible. SO kind, attentive and down to earth. Northstar has come a very long ways since 111 Alliance purchased northstar little over 2yrs ago. The lanes/bar are always clean the servers an staff make you feel welcome! One thing that is really nice is now during league bowling they have a server working the Lanes trying to make sure all the bowlers have food an refreshments. The place looks great congrats to Brian an his spouse an to Trever an his spouse you all have did amazing an brought new life back...
