We ordered inside, the cashier was completely untrained. He knew NOTHING about the sandwiches, and didn’t offer to ask anyone for help. I work in customer service, food service specifically, and if your employees aren’t trained correctly to take orders and key them in on a POS system, they probably should either be: A)Trained more extensively, hand held, and have people around him who have extensive knowledge of the products that your restaurant/place of business has to offer. The menu on google for the Apex, NC Schlotzsky’s Deli location is not correct. My partner wanted a Tuscan sandwich, which was plainly listed on the google menu specifically for the Apex location. However, apparently the menu they’ve submitted to google to be posted, is not their current menu. So I settled for the Classic. When arriving home, I opened my sandwich and it’s missing not one, but two of the three cuts of meat were missing. We paid $30+ for extremely sub par food.
So I decided to call, because I honestly felt wronged and borderline stolen from? When the person at the restaurant answered the phone, all he said was “hello?” I responded with “is this Schlotzsky’s?” I had to explain the situation to three people before they offered me a free sandwich. Which I don’t care about because I’ll never go back.
Train your employees. Owners make the money, skimp around, and don’t have the people pushing their brand effectively or efficiently. Also, food is way sub par. Every other chain sandwich shop would beat this one, no questions asked.
Please, please, please, spend your hard-earned...
Read moreDisappointing Experience w/Management & Customer Service.
I recently had a frustrating experience that I feel compelled to share. It all started when there was an error with my order. I reached out to the store for assistance, but instead of being met with understanding, I felt as though I was being treated like I was trying to pull a fast one.
The young man who took my order was friendly and polite, which made the situation seem hopeful at first. However, once I brought up the mistake to management, everything changed. It was as if any managerial customer service training went out the window. management (I believe her name was Christa) was extremely dismissive and failed to comprehend the issue at hand, making me feel frustrated and disrespected even in her text communications.
Even after contacting their corporate customer service line, I received no resolution or acknowledgment of the problem only to be redirected back to Manager of the store. It’s disheartening to feel like a valued customer one moment and then be treated like a nuisance the next. I hope they can improve their customer service approach, as it really detracted from what could have been a pleasant experience. I won’t be returning anytime soon. This was an utter Customer Service fiasco. NO resolution from them. They’ve missed out on turning a negative experience into a positive one for all… They’ve lost a good customer for what? A...
Read moreRead moreLOVE the food. Unfortunately, after my past 2 visits, I have to say the customer service is incompetent. Friendly mind you, just incompetent. Two visits ago, my order never made it past the cashier, so I sat there waiting for 20 min while watching 5 or so customers order and receive their food. I finally asked, and they said for some reason the food preparers never received my order. Err. This visit (same nice cashier) I had the cashier scan my phone to get my reward points when I ordered so I knew it would be done right, and I wouldn't have the chance to screw it up myself. Wrong. I never got notification of my order, and the rewards points never showed up on my app. I approached the cashier and the mgr said "Oh, it will show up in a few minutes. Maybe logoff and then back on and you'll see it." She was fairly dismissive. I logged off, back on. Nope. They were busy and I didn't want to go back up and argue with them, so I just left. Really too bad because I really love the food, but if they can't get their sheet together, I guess I'll have to stop going because I surely cannot trust them to get anything right anymore. How will they screw it...
