Girl at the counter charged me for our orders. Then they only gave us one. We sat there waiting for the other just to find out she had never actually placed it. Then the owner tells me the girl had undercharged me and she wanted me to pay $4.00 more for the boba? I told the girl exactly what I wanted, she only placed half of my order, had us waiting for a long time (20 min to be exact), then trying to charge me again for what I had ordered? WTH! Got me messed up. First and last time I go there.
Update: Your person incharge, told us that the girl whom had taken our order had under charged us. Coffee with boba and another drink with boba. They gave us a drink, we waited for 20 min, they said "are you all waiting for something else" while the girl that took our order just sat there and did not let them know we had gotten only one drink. We go up, tell them what we were missing and the older lady says, "I will put that in" while looking back at the transaction. A few minutes later she calls my daughter over and says, "She undercharged you for your drink, if you want the original drink you ordered it will be $4 or $3 more (for the boba) (not 100% sure if it was 3 or 4 dollars more) my daughter tells her no, we are not paying for that because I already paid. So we just got the "regular" drink (coffee with no boba)I never said you made me pay more, I said they wanted to charge me again for my order to "correct" it when it was not us who had gotten it wrong but...
Read moreThe cashier was super nice and patience with us as we were indecisive on what we wanted to try as this was our first time visiting Sago. We order 3 drinks with 2 of those drinks being the APK sunset. However nothing was pleasant or “sunset” about the drinks. The favor was like sipping on a lavender air wick air fresher and the look of drink did not resemble what was displayed on the menu. When we shared with the owner that we did not enjoy what we were drinking she replied that she couldn’t replace the drinks as she is a small business and that she would only give us a discount off our next purchase. BEWARE if you’re looking for a pleasant Boba experience this is not it!
Update: Reply to Owners response below
I respect your policy however I will not tolerate the lies. 1st, the drinks that we presented to you were not partially consumed. In fact they were full with the exception of the small sip that we took that was not pleasant to ingest AT ALL. This may be one of your popular drinks however what we received looked nothing like the picture on your menu board, which may explain the taste. 2nd your response and its defensiveness only supports my report that customer satisfaction is not a priority for your business; customers are nothing more than a $….I should have taken a picture of the drinks, would have...
Read moreBefore you read, I would like to clarify. AS A FILIPINO, I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. It is really good and really refreshing. The taste definitely reminds me of home, and it's a great experience to remember and reminisce. The ambiance is definitely chill and nice. But, I have some itty-bitty nitpicking as a person who grew up in these kinds of drinks and delicacies.
The thing about Filipino drinks and delicacies is that they're always sold at the same day they're made. I guess that freshness constitutes to a better tasting food experience. The ingredients are bought the same day they're made and sold. Vendors would wake up early in the morning to buy, prepare and cook all those ingredients to be sold in the morning or during the day. But then again, the taste difference is not a lot. I guess I'm just nitpicking things because I just miss my home country. Then again, IT IS A PLACE THAT I CAN RECOMMEND TO MY FILIPINO FRIENDS AND MY FRIENDS WHO WANTED TO HAVE A TASTE OF FILIPINO SWEETS AND DRINKS. Because it's rare to see this kinds of café in America. I will definitely bring some friends next time and order some hot taho and some...
