Starbucks — Restaurant in Apopka

I used to be a regular customer here, but honestly, I regret ever being one. It feels like the more I came, the less they cared about their customer service toward me.

I came in yesterday for the last time to speak with Kelly about an incident involving an employee and a manager who accused me of using language I never used, then spoke to me inappropriately. While talking to Kelly, it was clear she didn’t really want to engage—she even said, “I’m trying to remember your email,” and followed with, “I can only apologize that you were embarrassed by the situation. If it were me, I’d want my manager to stick up for me.” But I never did what they accused me of!

The conversation went in circles, with her repeating the same thing over and over. Before that, I had ordered a drink I didn’t like and asked for a refund. When I tried to speak to the guy at the register (tall with tattoos) before I could even finish my sentence, he cut me off with, “YA, WASSUP?” I tried to ignore it and calmly ask for my refund, and then he repeated, “Yeah, why, WASSUP?” At that point, I just thought—I’ll never come back here… mind you THIS IS AFTER I HAD THE CONVERSATION WITH KELLY THAT DID NOT GO ANYWHERE

I truly felt unwelcome and uncomfortable, like they were looking for any reason to treat me poorly. If you want better service, I recommend going to the location at 3850 E Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL 32703. The staff there are much nicer—it’s a bit of a drive, but at least you’ll feel respected and appreciated...

I hope I never have to go anywhere near this location again. I had almost driven 40 minutes home when I decided to grab a mango dragonfruit refresher so I drove 20 minute out of my way to the nearest location which was in Apopka near Walmart. The line was almost 8-10 cars back so had to wait almost 20 min at least ( maybe more) to order. I finally get to order and the employee says we are out of lemonade and mango. ( no signs had been posted anywhere ) . So I ask “ okay well what else can you mix in with dragonfruit or do you recommend that’s similar ?” to which he replies “ water?” ...I honestly didn’t even know what to respond to that... Did I just drive all the way to Starbucks to wait in a long line only to be given a recommendation of water ?? ..so I asked if the strawberry one could be mixed in and he said yes. When I finally got my drink ..it had no dragonfruit in it and basically tasted like a strawberry lemonade Snapple I could have got at any convenience store. He made no apologies for not having the item I had waited in line for. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough at this point and had to ask for a receipt as he hadn’t given it to me. I have been to MANY Starbucks stateside and overseas and never seen such a lack of customer service or product knowledge ...it is a shame this is the only one in Apopka as I will gladly go to Dunkin’ Donuts or make the drive to a Foxtail in the future than...

Hours constantly changing and app not always updated. Order food from app and have to substitute or cancel due to being sold out when we arrive. Has a long line 50% of the time. No credit offered when they mess up unless you ask. I have had a few good experiences here but my most recent was unacceptable. Placed my order for 2 drinks before ever leaving home, got to the store, sat in line at drive through, got to the window and sat there waiting and watching them make other drinks I presume for people behind us before making ours. Meanwhile the inside looked dead, no customers at all, people behind me have drinks melting, and my drinks still aren't even being made over 20 minutes after I placed my order. I ask if they have any type of credit for the inconvenience and some guy with a major attitude comes to the window and tells me next time if I don't have time to wait in the drive through then to come in the store. At which point I told him it wouldn't have mattered where I waited because even after getting through the speaker and to the window, I waited for a good 10 minutes without them ever starting to male my drinks. If I had gone inside, they still wouldn't have been done. He didn't say another word and stormed away with...
