I don’t often review or rate a place unless it truly deserves it, and Amy’s absolutely deserves every star there is.

First off, a place is only truly a wonderful place if the people and the atmosphere are centered on their values and genuine. The food is ALWAYS the last consideration. The people and their hearts are always the first and most important.

Amy, Gracie, and their restaurant truly exhibit among the highest respect of these tenets that I have experienced in quite some time.

Now that isn’t to say the food is not wonderful too. I’ve taste tested food all around the world and can confidently say their options are delicious, handmade, and full of heart and commitment. It very much reminded me of Japan with the same level of quality and satiety of the dishes having been achieved.

That is a rarity in America and they have pulled it off with their food level, as well as their personal commitment to their patrons.

Secondly, I would like to take a moment to personally speak of Amy and her daughter Gracie. They both work diligently together and with their team to deliver the quality I would expect from a finer dining establishment in Tokyo.

And I absolutely have to speak about their hearts! That intentional and genuine care and appreciation for everyone who walks through their door is real. And Gracie’s energy is absolutely wonderful and so well appreciated. It’s not easy to find someone with such a positive and outgoing and loving spirit these days with all the world spinning out of control, but she absolutely crushes everything.

She was such a wonderful soul to meet and the both of us appreciate her so very much. We were standing there sharing picture of our kimonos and adventures through the world together and that excitement was a wonderful to relive and see in her eyes and heart.

I really cannot understate how much Amy, her team, and her family deserve my highest recommendation for the quality of their hearts and the atmosphere of positivity and goodness they’ve worked to craft.

Finally, I do have to take a moment to speak of the food. It was absolutely wonderful. Out of a 100, I have to rate it easily in the mid to high 90s. All handmade and authentic, the burritos were masterfully done and extremely generous in size, and the satiety level of each dish and drink was max level. The meat was perfectly cooked to melt along the tongue and the sauces easily complemented the dishes. There is so much more I could describe in regard to the sweetness and the umami flavor notes present, especially in the refried beans. This was a wonderful and delicious surprise. I would certainly recommend only one burrito at a time; they are enormous, but highly worthwhile.

All around absolutely stellar. I will absolutely be stopping here every chance I pass through into the future. Both for the good food, but above all for the great people.

I would absolutely recommend Amy’s to everyone living or traveling through Victorville...

Above all else, what makes or breaks a restaurant is the quality of the food. We stopped here to eat while in the area. Since I'm Mexican I'm pretty critical when it comes to mexican food. The food did not disappoint. The portions were good, flavor was outstanding ( I'm not a big bean fan, but these were right on the money as was the rice) table salsa was good, and the place was clean. What I really appreciated is that they brought a small salsa bowl for each person, something you don't regularly see. Usually there is one small bowl everyone needs to share. The chips were warm, nicely seasoned, and crispy. The waitress was not very efficient and was slow to take our order so someone from the kitchen came to help. The lady from the kitchen turned out to be a kind and excellent waitress. Because of the slow waitress I was expecting our food to take forever, but I was gladly wrong. Our food came out in a timely manner. The young man assisting in the dining room was also outstanding. He was very attentive. The margaritas I saw others drinking looking very inviting, but, alas I had to drive and had to pass. I saw a couple order a second round .....darn! Next time. Both my son and husband agreed that they would return to this establishment. My son ordered fish tacos and shrimp tacos with french fries. Tasted his fries and they were good and crispy. They came across as homemade since some still had the skin (which I like) and were meatier than most french fries. He gobbled up his tacos and didn't complain so they must have been good. My husband and I had burritos. He had a carne asada and I had carnitas. I had the combo with ranchero sauce. The sauce was green so I think it was a misstep, but I'm not complaining. It was delicious! The carnitas were right on the money. My husband asked for extra spicy salsa on the side since his mexican tradition demanded that everything needs to be super spicy. I don't know from where the sauce originated but it must have been good because my picky husband consumed most of the sauce in the small bowl that was brought out. What impressed me was that it was house made and not some bottle. Boy! He lathered that burrito with that sauce and happily consumed it. It was funny. Will definitely be returning if ever in the area. Gotta try that margarita. If I were to make any suggestions it would be to...

The food was whatever very bland. Presentation is ok portions are perfect. But lacks taste in every aspect. Bring your own seasonings if you want to eat here. It's my first and last time coming to this place. Oh :FYI MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. THEY PUT A SERVICE CHARGE AUTOMATICALLY ON THE RECEIPT. But that's just my opinion and experience here. So obviously I couldn't reply to your comment Owner of Amy's. First of we all order separately. 2 of all my check had 3 persons in total plus I gave a cash tip. 2 I did complain about my food. 3rd my that I order before the meal came after the meal. So even though we were a big party everyone paid separately. After all that time of not getting my plate replaced. I gave up and called a loss. Not once was I told that my order was being fixed or anything. Was ask about my food and complained. After that not another word was mentioned to me. So I waited to see how long it would take any of your staff to remember. They couldn't even remember my drink. With I also left on the table untouched. I paid because I ordered the food. But regardless of the fact. My whole review is about the taste flavor. And the fact that I was forgotten about. So yeah if I want it a refund i wouldn't of paid. So like I said 1st...

We gave this resturant a try but it was so bad. Sadly, dont give this place a try. The service was terrible, the server talked over us and didn't listen to anything we said. It took like 20 minutes to gets drinks and they were wrong, then it took over 30 minutes to get food. When the food finally came it was covered in pools of grease and oil. I personally ordered carne asada tacos and the meat was ground beef and most grissle and fat chunks. My husband's food was soaked in oil as well. My plate was dripping with oil and got everywhere. The servers were rude and almost completely ignored us. They couldn't get other customers orders right and I watched alot of people send food back and even leave. Super bummed.

Apple Valley Hidden Gem This place was incredible. First, I wanna say don't judge a book by its cover. Is off the beaten path, and if you weren't looking for it, you'd never find it. But finding it is sooooo worth it to you all who follow me know I a foodie and I only give honest reviews, so trust , THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! and the service was great. Brayden was our server, and he really made us feel welcomed he even had suggestions on what foods we might like to try. Everything was superb, or so I thought until we got the deep fried IceCream. It was literally the cherry on top. So if you want some really, really good Mexican food, then this os it...Amy's Mexican food, you won't regret it
