Perks Coffee House — Restaurant in Apple Valley

Really hate to leave a bad review here, I truly enjoy their coffee and food, but their customer service is awful. I’m not sure if they’re understaffed but they’re very unorganized. I typically do pick up orders over the phone, but today was the worst. I called to make the order, the employee immediately asked to put me on hold and left me there for about 4 minutes, which is fine. Then came back on the phone and took my order, however when I asked how long till it’s done so I know when to show up, he wouldn’t give me an estimated time. He kept telling me that he doesn’t know, he has many orders ahead of me, and that if people walk in he has to take those order first. So I asked okay, all of that is fine, but I’m driving to you, you can’t give me a time when to be there? I eventually get there about 20 minutes later and continue to wait, the employee there ended up making someone else’s order ahead of mine which put me at the bottoms of the line. I was excited to try out this coffee place but unfortunately ended up being disappointed. Lack luster menu for coffee which is fine. They do have their Seattle freeze and other smoothies but I ended up ordering one of their advertised specials (a matcha latte) and it was just okay. it needed more matcha flavor and tasted mostly of milk. I was expecting more food and bakery goods. While looking at the display for food I was informed there were more options in the back, but there wasn’t any signage for what they had to offer and the barista didn’t specify. So I only ordered a cookie for my daughter. She enjoyed it (although she is only 3) but I took a bite and it was for sure just a store bought cookie which normally isn’t bad, but like the cookie tasted like it was from Walmart bakery. No shade to Walmart bakery tho, I just kinda expected higher quality I guess.

Checked out this place for the first time ordered a raspberry white chocolate mocha latte which the barista was not successful in making correctly. I usually don’t make a fuss about my drinks but since it was so over priced I asked if I can get it redone or get something else she then tried to over price me some more after we had giving her 12 dollar tip before I was done and late for work! She then argued “that’s on you!” This what you ordered But not taking accountability that she perhaps did prepare it correctly and was super tangy or used the wrong syrups or somthing . After going back and fourth with me I decided I don’t want to support this petty business I asked for a refund and wasted my time with an aggressive little girl drink was terrible customer service was horrid would not ever return.
