La Fiesta Mexican Food — Restaurant in Apple Valley

THIS IS WHERE THE LOCALS GO! We've been coming here for dinner several times a month for almost 15 years. The margaritas specials every Saturday night can’t be beat, and they make a serious margarita! The food is consistently good and the service is great too. It's a comfortable, family run restaurant - unpretentious, clean, friendly, and consistently good.

THE FOOD: ProTip: Ask for the secret off-menu potato taco - it is available most of the time and is just incredible! Trust me on this one. They are large and served with chef Juan's delicious special salsa that is perfect for the potato taco!! Our 15 year favorites on the menu are their fish and shrimp tacos, the fajita tostada (I get steak and chicken mixed), is my all time favorite. The Hubs loves the fish and shrimp tacos and the chicken quesadilla. Also, there's always something deliciously different about ranch dressing at a Mexican restaurant, and theirs is delicious! Try the shrimp salad and ask for the tails off... simple and yummy.

Gina and Manuel, the owners, are usually on site and working hard to ensure their customers are happy. Their servers are all very kind and genuinely happy to have you there. The whole staff have all become like family to us, and it's clear that the other regulars feel the same way about them too. Chuey will greet you with a warm smile and bring your drinks with a basket of warm chips and a cup of their delicious salsa within minutes of you sitting down. Chuey is seriously the hardest working person I've ever seen - The man never slows down and does a great job of making sure everything is clean and ready for the next customer. If you happen to be there when Chuey sings happy birthday, it is a real treat! After your meal, order a "CANDY SHOT" - you won't be disappointed - they are handmade in several flavors and served in a pretty little glass - a wonderful ending to the meal.

DONT SLEEP ON THE SUNDAY CHAMPAGNE BRUNCH! Do yourself a favor and go for their Sunday Champagne Brunch. First off.... Chuey won't let your champagne glass get less than half full, and you'll love the huge selection of delicious buffet options, including an omelete and waffle bar!! GREAT...

I’m not ever one to write bad reviews but I’m honestly very disappointed in my experience tonight. The young lady working today, was rude, and argumentative. I have a medical condition where I cannot tolerate spicy foods of any kind. And the chicken burrito that I ordered had chilies in it, and the waitress wanted to argue with me and say that they were bell peppers, but I know they weren’t. They were spicy. Then she argued with me about taking it back. And finally after discussing with her boss she took the plate back and I was able to order something else.

Then when we were done eating, we got the check and on the check she writes “didn’t like it, too hot” like? Was that really necessary? That’s so rude and honestly you shouldn’t give your opinion on someone’s preferences. What if I had an allergy? Then what? Would she still argue with me?

Please work with your employees on customer service and being friendly. Some of us have anxiety and are too scared to speak up about not liking things.

My friend and I went to eat here sat afternoon on jul27th 2024 there was a sign on there table that said buy 1 margarita get the second one half price, in bold print, under it where you could barely see it it said no Sharing, what the hell does that .mean ? Anyhow we each got a margarita which didn't have much alcohol in it and my friend didn't want it so I drank them both. She had 1 enchilada, and I had 1 taco and rice. When we went up to pay she said that will be 47.00 we both said what ? She said the margaritas were 14 ea. I said your sign says buy 1 get one half off, she said no sharing ,I don't know what she was saying but we were charged full price, there foods dull, and I want that money. Back then we will never step foot In there again the waiter was nice so we had to tip him 5 so it cost 52.00 for lousy food and weak margs, I drank both and didn't feel a thing. No wonder there rated 4.2 it should be - 4.2...
