I normally don't leave reviews unless exceptionally horrible or positive. I felt I needed to in this case as I have never received such horrible service.
I ordered a barrel in January and after not receiving any feedback after week and half or so I emailed and asked what status was. I also let them know I had issues when ordering and not until the 3rd time trying did it go through and then looked as though I may have ordered 3 of them. It kept saying card declined when it wasn't but 3rd time it took it. I also didn't receive any feedback from them regarding this.
After a month and multiple emails, calling and leaving voicemails when their machine wasn't full and would let you with no returned calls or emails; I decided to call my credit card company and disputed charges. I was told with all our documentation this would be a easy case, I was also called back by my credit card company and told they cannot get a hold of them or get a response either so they were sending a letter.
I ordered the same barrel from Brownells which was about $100 more but I did receive confirmation, shipping status, tracking and received it if I remember right in 3 days. I would NEVER order anything from this place again, I'd rather buy a lathe and steel and make my own barrel than go through this ordeal again. I recommend to anyone even if seems like a good deal after what I have had to deal with and sounds like many others when you look at other reviews pay more money if have to and save your self tons of time and aggravation.
All they would have had to do even if it was backordered at the time is just let me know and I would have been fine as I wasn't in a rush. They definitely took the money right away though.
I also see I am not the only one that has had similar issues. I suspect they drop ship and obviously don't care about their customers etc. I think I will also file a complaint with the BBB in California and report them as well. If I could leave 1000 negative...
Ā Ā Ā Read more1/27/2020: My previous experiences with USP had been great, unfortunately my most recent order is not going so well. I've left a message and sent an email requesting some sort of update on my order, and crickets. Order placed on 1/11, just looking for an update. I hate doing bad reviews, they're too commonplace and usually solve nothing, but I see that they have responded to some of the unhappy posts, so maybe this will work. Four slides and a barrel I would think is a sufficient enough order to make sure you take care of your repeat customer, maybe not, who knows. USP, you out there?
Update 1/28/2020: Well guess who just sent an email. It worked, hate that it took a negative review/posting to get there (or it was just lucky timing), but they responded and that's all I really wanted. They are saying my items will ship within a week, we'll see. Moving this from 1 to a tentative 3 star for now, if they do as stated, I'm happy to adjust up some star love to reflect their performance.
Final Update: Ben Rocks! As a business owner myself, I can empathize with being torn in too many directions and not being able to touch every item that comes through the operations, and I rely on my people for support. Ben has just called to share that they are very busy and reassured me that my order is going out today. Also apologizing for the delay, he was just generally the way I remember all my previous dealings with USP have been, he's a real pleasant professional who is helping take care of their customers. So my panic is no more than a false alarm, thanks Ben, and Jim and the USP crew, faith restored and it's much appreciated. Customer service responded within 5 minutes and explained this- I mentioned it should be changed as itās a bit deceiving but obviously not intended to deceive. For the inconvenience they replied with a coupon code before I asked for one- Will be doing 100% of my shopping with them for my needs of what they stock. As a veteran myself Iām happy to see our patriots continue to serve.
So I stumbled across this company looking for a 80% lower at a reasonable price, they have gotten pricey lately. I found these guys and checked reviews hoping it wasnāt a pop up from the rona scare to scam me for my coin. Long shipping time was a big concern but to get a 80% lower for under $20 is hard to pass up. $56 with juggernaut kit which is $44 itself- I figured 28-45 days shipping (which was stated in the site and my shipping info) I have time to save for build parts. I got an email the next morning from them that basically said the label was printed- said shipped but details were a label was paid for, the next email in my box from usps said 2 days shipping label was ordered and usps was awaiting pick up. Ok I figured they got 2 day labels because itās going to be a month or two before it ships. I checked later in the day and it was picked up by usps. Iād give 5 stars but havenāt received it yet so donāt know condition, however I havenāt seen a negative review on conditions of items other than the odd ball idiot that buys a raw piece and complains of rust issues and bad finish.
